Decorating a room for FREE 🏡 Bedroom makeover on a budget 2019 

Honestly this is the most useful diy vid I've come across

Ugh, THANK YOU for being honest about when a DIY (like the lamp) has come out janky! It irritates me to no end when the Sorry Girls make a bunch of stuff using hot glue and hope and then act as if the item is just a sturdy as a dupe from the shops, or that it has ANY longevity whatsoever. Some of their crafts are a joke! I get it, not every DIY can be sturdy/quality, but admitting that the product isn't going to stand the test of time is a good, honest start, especially for younger viewers who just don't think about quality or safety. If I were to request something for future, I would love to see a vid from you showing which of your oldest DIYs have stood the test of time? In the same way that people are looking towards moving away from fast fashion and disposable products that harm the environment, I'd love to get some tips on DIYs that last a long time and are quality/good for the environment. Perhaps even a few DIYs that DIDN'T stand the test of time could be shown to be repurposed/descontructed to recycle them further? Anyway thanks as always for the vids Hermione! And if you wanna recycle those Flow magazines, I'll happily take them off your hands... :P

You should do this for someone. Maybe they give a budget or you make things out of a collection of stuff they give you. I would trust you to make my home look pretty! xx

It’s just fibre from the fabric. This doesn’t break your needle. Leaving the cover under the machine while stuffing a pillow in there on the other hand does because you bend the needle and then it hits stuff it’s not supposed to

Interesting ideas. I also saw the quote 'I don't know what I'm doing and it's the not knowing that makes it interesting' when Hermione was flipping through the flow magazine and added it to my vision board, so cool.

@ 3:27 You should frame that "life guard on duty" in your guest bath. That would be such a fun piece and maybe have a cute little life saver next to it. It turned out so cute, especially those pillows! You and your imagination are endless!

Pink! Pink! Pink! I am snowed into my house, here in Iowa, so maybe this weekend I’ll get motivated to redecorate with my own decorations!

Literally just two days ago I made an envelope cushion cover out of an old emerald green loop scarf that I got from h&m in the sale for 2€. To spice it up I did a simple white line embroidery on the front and added white tassels to the edges. and booooom💣. new cushion/no money spent

Update #1: I found this thin blanket from my birthday, it looks like a good wall tapestry. Update #2: I cut up a bunch of magazines and glued them together Ps. More aesthetic than I thought it would be🤣 Update #3: I listened to her advice, now my room looks 10x better!🙏🏽❤️😂 thank you

There was a TV series in the U.S. (not sure if it aired elsewhere) on the HGTV network (Home and Gardens TV) called Freestyle. The host went to an apartment and redecorated usually one room using items the people already owned. There are a few episodes on RU-vid but not many. LOVED that show so thank you for bringing it back in this video. :)

Would love to see more of these! As a student/recent graduate it’s difficult to design on a budget, especially while trying to be sustainable and recycle! Love this ☺️💕

Could you please do a video on using a sewing machine for beginners? I got one for my birthday and all the videos I found online were from old videos from the 80s or ones that explained at too advanced a level and got so complicated! I find setting it up the needle and threads the hardest to understand. Love your videos!!! ❤️

I love the blush color and texture, but I wouldve also probably sewn in some white glass pearl beads of different sizes to look a little more put-together

I've been sewing my own clothes for 2 years and I JUST found out that sewing machines need regular maintenance and cleaning inside! I had the same fuzz pop out of my machine also... and more. 😱 Check your machine's instructions / tutorials online to see what you need to do to keep it in good shape lol

The cotton bud pot is genius! Tip: if you cover anything with paper or string, pritt stick generously applied is easier than glue or sellotape & you can redo & adjust mistakes easier.

I am so "uncrafty." BUT! I can needlepoint and do have some pieces I did years ago in my closet...I think. Most of the items I made were for my mother and 40 years later she still has and uses them. I was blown away when I saw them in her office recently. I used to be able to crochet and knit - would have to brush up on that. Thank you for fun videos. :)

Tip 1 : find a pot or basket any plant then find a flower from outside or a fake plant you have laying around put it in your pot or basket if you have a hanging plant rap it around the inside the basket or pot it looks really good! Tip 2 : find any brown paper or wood cup or small pot put pens, pencils and or any writing tools and put it in the cup / small pot!

This is the first video of a makeover that I've seen that comes close to being ACTUALLY CLOSE TO FREE. I'm like you, I have a lot of things around my home that I could use for this makeover INCLUDING a light kit😂. I do not have that incredible light bulb but you better believe I'll be ordering one ASAP. Great job! Also, I hoard magazines but what magazines do you order because the kind here in the U.S. never have those amazing types of prints that you used in your decor. I loved everything about this makeover.

For anyone trying that lamp... it might be a good idea to add a few clean rocks or marbles etc into the bottom of the lamp. This one looks top heavy, so the slightest bump could send it crashing to the floor.

I love the Flow magazine. Have it at home, quite a few of them and they are really such a joyfull, artzy and versatile equipment for beautifying your home or as gift items. Just love it!

Very cute and thrifty! Cushion covers never get old! Those ikea lamp kits are inexpensive and very handy. You could come back later and make a sturdier DIY lamp out of something else

Sorry just a thought from one sewer to another, in future if you’re using thick fabric in your machine use a Jeans needle. They are made for thick fabric and are no more costly than other machine needles. Also, use a stronger thread and go slower don’t rush it. Hope that helps.😊👍
