I loved this show. Most of us don't have tens of thousands of dollars sitting around to redecorate our homes, and this shows what's possible with what you already have, and some inexpensive additions. I love it. They're also not afraid of color, softness, function, and things that don't match. I'm so sick of "modern, clean lines, gray, white, stainless," in all the decor today.
Please bring back this show somehow. All that's on now is buying , selling homes and flipping. They're all the same. We need more frugal type DIY shows like this .
I don't watch those shows anymore. I get tired of the same old makeover - gray walls, open floor plan, shiplap - rinse and repeat. Same old crap every week. I love Decorating Cents and Colour Confidential - wish they were back on the air.
Funny how tastes change. Back in the day, I would have loved this. Now, I'm just horrified. I absolutely love the concept of doing makeovers with as little money as possible, but, as I said, tastes do change over the years.
You can easily change out pieces one at a time when you can afford them. In this case, change the curtains and light fixture and take down the shutters. Quick Easy Cheap
I wouldn't have altered the furniture as all the pieces looked great and stylish as they were...they just needed to be tied together with some great wall color, an accent wall, funky lighting, and old world wall art. The stripes were too much. Hmmmmm.
She earned her PhD and he got jealous. Then the drunken arguments began. She thought have lots of kids would make things better but things just got worse. He started having an affair with the gas station clerk and she started seeing a fellow doctor until he found out about all the kids. Now they both work in a bait shop. The kids are in state custody.
