I just love this, but I feel like this scale is big enough to have the human personnel as well. Not only the flight deck crews, but in this case having marines loading the aircraft would be fantastic! Anyone ever try 3D printing such things?
I only have Revell's 1/720 scale Wasp, this is incredible yet again, I am hoping to build Boxer, in 1/350 scale since she, Bainbridge, and Halyburton was there for Captain Richard Philips, rescue. At some time, I plan to also build the final Wasp Class, Makin Island, it would have to be greatly modified, since the bridge superstructure was redesigned, and the America class also has been given a similar superstructure, noting that the Main stacks are canted, like the first John F. Kennedy, and the four Imperial Japanese Navy aircraft carriers, Hiyo, Junyo, Taiho, and Shinano, Yamato's half sistership. Beautiful work, yet again. Take care, and all the best.
I feel for you separating all those supports. I’m back and forth whether I want them on or off. I’ve bought quality and come both ways. Advantage of off is if they break they replace. We need a 3D printer lol. Great build.
a msall piece of platic rod underneath an Osprey/ Sea Stallion to look like it is taking off or coming in too land on the deck would look great alongside all the parked aircraft, a wonderful video on how to enhance a model with fine detail.
Very nice work, if I may be so humble as to offer a suggestion, use either a clear gloss where the canopy glass is, I use either Micro Krystal Klear for a thicker finish, or Aqua Gloss clear from Alclad,
Looks really great. But having spent a lot of time on those kinds of ships being a flight engineer on the 53’s. You are missing either the Harriers depending what time frame you are doing or the new F35’s. Plus most of the equipment that is used to move aircraft around and such are all yellow. The only one that is white is the medical rescue and fire! But outside of that looks awesome.
