In addition, I love that you didn't use expensive or overly complicated tools in this video. As someone just starting out I don't have all of the gadgets some creators use and now I see that I don't have to to get started, I can add as I go or simply get creative with what I have.
I know that you commented this a year ago lol but I absolutely agree! I’ve found myself spending money on tools and gadgets that I now realize aren’t necessary at all. I’m feeling so incredibly inspired and I’m only a third of the way through your video. I love your techniques and I am absolutely going to try out the glue gun. These glues are so expensive!!! I never thought to use my glue gun and I can replenish the glue from my dollar store. Fantastic idea! I think I’d love the bit of warping and texture to be honest. So beautiful. I love how you use same papers, stencils, & such to repeat thru journal so it all connects together. I don't really see that anywhere else, unless there is a theme that's repeated. But that's totally different. I really want to do this same idea in MY journals. I think it really makes it look so much better. I see you do this in all your work. Flipping thru videos, I always recognize which ones are yours! It just puts YOUR journals at higher level of excellence. Thank you for the idea and the video. I like to watch your videos over & over again. I'm new to this, so I need the reminders and inspiration. I often watch one of your videos, start the project, and then at some point, go blank, get stuck! So I go back and watch again. It is so valuable for me and keeps me on track. Can I just comment and say how soothing and relaxing your voice is I could listen to you talk all day long about junk journaling. I love that you make everything yourself and you don't have Expensive ephemera laying around ,being wasteful no you're making your own using up scraps I absolutely love it!!!!

I really enjoyed your techniques weren't as junky as most other people. It's nice to look at a tag where you can see the whole thing vs 20 pieces of miscellaneous junk around and chopping it up!!! Love your work and all the different techniques! Thanks for sharing!

I love watching you create pages. The colors that you put together are always so pretty. Thank you so much for sharing. You are so inspiring. I find myself getting stuck on what to do with each page. You offer many ideas. Some quite easy. I get bogged down in doing complicated things. Then I get discouraged because it is taking so long. I have 4 glue guns and never used one on a journal. Time to try it.
I enjoy your content - however - I am very auditory. It was hard to watch without music or narration. I stopped watching because I'm working on my journal - and when you tell what you are doing - I look up and watch while I work. Otherwise I lose track. I did subscribe. You are very talented.

Hi, I think it is personal preference, so start with a low cost one and see how you like it. I purchase mine from our local Hardware shop, it’s a cheaper brand and I have found no issues with it. You can get good brands like Liquitex and Mont Marte, but they cost a little more.

I do love the thought of making my own junk journal but I'm wondering if you cam have a junk journal that has minimal journal spots? Or does that defeat the purpose of it? I love embellishments and the idea of making little pockets but am only new to any journalling (have done more of the art journalling)
You can absolutely have a junk journal that is more an art journal, rules are few in my opinion, do what brings you joy and what you enjoy. I am also not a huge journaler, as in writing things, but I would use mine as an art journal definitely ❤
I love the simplistic, yet effective style of your work. Everything you do works together to create such lovely artwork. Each individual piece stands alone in its beauty/functionality and yet the individual pages, when completed, flow beautifully to present a journal that is cohesive in both color and style.. To me, a journal should offer me a peaceful, easy place to express my innermost thoughts and feelings. This journal accomplishes that and more. I love it!

Hi Paula, thank you for your comment and for subscribing 😊 they can be used for many things like a bullet journal, a diary, a memory keeper, a journal, a guest book, photo album, anything really. I sell mine, but I do have one that I have kept that I use to put photos and memories in of my family and special occasions. Hope this helps 😊
