Welcome to my channel where I share my simple and peaceful cottage lifestyle. At this time last year, I was deciding whether or not I'd want to move into this little cottage! (I was living in a different cottage on the same property.) I'm so glad I decided to make the move!
In this video, I do some crafting with nature, head to the river to find a curtain rod for my bedroom, and share my (gross???) skincare routine.

MY WASHING MACHINE ... people often ask what brand it is, and if I like it! The answer is ... yeeees! It's a Costway portable machine and I LOVE it! It's not nearly as fast and efficient to use as a regular washing machine. But if you can't have one for any reason, this little guy can be a real life saver. Awe! I love Charlie! He’s so chilling! We had a lil dog named Jack, he was the same breed of Charlie, but it reminds of Jack! He was our family member! And I buy bandannas and he always had one! They become like your child! And my kids that were teens , jack was their best bud, and Jacob my son said Jack talks to me by his barks are his eyes!?! I swear Mom I understand him! Jack is missed and he was so loved and brought joy to our family! And I see how you are with Charlie, it just reminds me of our beloved Jack

Little Charlie is so adorable! I am the Mom of a Chihuahua rescue and she has turned out to be the perfect pet for me! She is so sweet and loving, even with my very young grandchildren. She acts stand-offish with strangers and will hide behind me because she is scared but never acts aggressively. I agree with you, though, they do tend to be bossy so I verbally tell her that Mommy is the boss and she understands. They are very intelligent creatures. I think you should definitely get the painting. Love your videos!

Charlie seems like a real sweetie! Seeing him in his home environment definitely gives tiny pups a better rep IMO. Love seeing the DYI projects especially how you incorporate natural elements.

Go back and get the painting!! It's so pretty and unusual. I had a long-haired white chihuahua for 14 years. He had been abandoned in a house when the owners moved out. He was so sweet and loving and never yapped. I'll forever miss him. He converted a lot of people who claimed they hated chihuahuas. I love the driftwood in the window, especially with the plant wrapped around it.

I have a chihuahua/Pom mix. She is a handful but she can be so loving and sweet. It’s definitely when she gets scared that she acts out. Her name is Misa and she has my heart ❤

I love your natural decorations and I have a simple one I’d love to share. It’s cinnamon pine cones: - For scavenged pine cones, brush off any dirt/debris. - Bake them for 45 minutes at 200F on a baking sheet lined with foil to melt off sap/resin. - When they are cooled down, put them in a plastic bag or lidded container, add several drops of cinnamon essential oil and shake to distribute the oil. - Let them sit in that container for 2-3 days and then put them into a basket or bowl on display. - You can repeat the process of adding more oil when the scent starts to fade. The final step is to have fun doing it! 😁😁😁

That painting is very big and imo it would not have enough room to flow with your room decor. It would make a perfect headboard above the bed but you already have a tapestry in that space. I realize my opinion is based on who I am (a minimalist)... so there's that. Wait a couple of weeks before purchasing it in any event. A healthier way to shop. The orange slices were gorgeous. Charlie is a delight.

I'm thinking yes on the painting. The oranges remind me of little sun's, very cheerful. Thinking I'll do this myself as I have an orange in the fruit bowl right now that if its anything like its partner was its very sour instead of sweet so this would be a great use for it. Yes, get the painting. It will complete your room beautifully. I believe it is meant to be. What are the chances that you found the matching girl AND the matching flower painting by the same artists in different locations....impossible seems possible again...doors once shut, now opening. A lovely idea bringing the outdoors inside with the driftwood for your curtains - looks great! The orange garland, I am sure is a beautiful suncatcher in the early mornings and at twilight. I'm trying to remember if you have doors between your rooms. If you DO, you could hang that pretty flower painting you love so much on a door! I love the little French lady painting you bought. I have an oil painting (bought for me as a gift a very long time ago) of a young French-looking lady, and I will never part with it! When I pass, it goes to my daughter, because it reminds me so much of her. I love, LOVE the idea of stringing orange slices like that! Yes, all of nature is symmetrical, crafted in synchronicity by one loving and marvelous God! I wish I had somewhere to hunt for driftwood. We have the Susquehanna River here in York County, but so many parts of the shoreline are privately owned, so there aren't many places to scavenge. :-( Yesterday, I saw an amazing assortment of birds at Pinchot State Park, gathered in a marshy area of the lake, so I'm going back there again today to try and photograph them in the more favorable light. Yesterday was a bit too cloudy. They all seem to gather, according to my observations, right around 2:00PM for food and drinks. Of course, they like to hide among the tall cattail reeds and make it difficult to photograph them! Have a wonderful day, and thank you for yet another charming and delightful video! 🥰

I understand the discrimination of dog breeds. I have a German shepherd and many are fearful of her. She has never growled it bitten anyone. She is very smart. You were so strong in the stores. "Don't need it" The stick idea is great.

People make windchimes with driftwood at the top and string glass and/or crystals down through holes in the driftwood. I love them. If you absolutely love that painting, buy it.

I've also used sticks for curtain rods and love the organic look of something dreamy and drapey having from something created by nature. Your end result is lovely, I also make dried orange slices for garlands and sometimes the oranges studded with cloves to set in bowls of pine cones. I definitely think you should bring home the painting ... another celebration of living your best life having made a great choice last year at this time. Stay happy! If you love the painting and it brings you joy every time you look at it how can you not bring it home? Also caster oil is great as a facial moisturizer. I use it at night. There are lots of benefits from using it. Our pups are such good company. They give so much joy to our lives. What a blessing they are 💖 🐕 🌺

You channel is one of my three favorites on RU-vid! I just love every video you post. My chihuahua is a very sweet little man. The only time he ever goes “demon dog” is when my mom’s or daughter’s large dog gets close to him. But he’s incredibly friendly with all people. When someone comes to the house he’ll grab some little item and run up to them to show it off. He won’t give it to them! Lol He’s just showing what a mighty hunter he is. Everyone adores him. At the vet he gets passed around for cuddles with everyone at the desk and when the techs hear he’s there they all come out to love on him. I have another dog that’s 62% Chihuahua. Louie is a HUGE mama’s boy. He’s very loving and affectionate with people he knows. But he’s rude to strangers and takes awhile to warm up to people. He can definitely be bossy. Especially when he’s ready for bed. He’ll growl and fuss under his breath until I get in bed. Then he’ll crawl under the blanket and snuggle up to my hip. I just LOVE how you did the driftwood for the curtain rod and strung the pothos on it.
