@@KirstenJoerg Hope you both are well. I was contacted by Gleespen Design that I was a winner through a comment I left that you like. Some prize through Nice Gram. Is this you?
@@mariannelopes8936 Thank you, we are quite well and hope you are too! I'm afraid that's another scammer and we reported it right away. Sadly it's now happening very often and it's so annoying.
I'm so impressed at how careful you unpack your lovely ornaments, and put such care in placements. Then carefully repack it all. I remember last year and it's just as impressive.
I am German born and married to an Australian man in Australia. Your travels and lovely charming way is so wonderful to see, and you have a romantic husband. The Christmas episodes are terrific and I can't get enough of them. Here in Australia it is hot at that time of year, and I sometimes yearn for the cold and snow that we left behind. Keep on doing what you are doing and have fun. I have subscribed so I never miss another exciting report from you both. Thanks, Gil Randall 😊❤
I always say that opening up the Christmas decorations and placing them around the house is like opening up and enjoying a box of memories. I treasure the many German decorations my great-grandmother brought over with her in the early 1900s that we still enjoy today. ❤
Your Christmas tree is stunning! There is nothing like a traditional German tree decorated with memories! I love the festive mix of old and new, classic and contemporary whimsical ornaments! The tree in the snug is so CUTE! Every room in your home just sparkles with seasonal joy! What an inspiration! Thank you, Kirsten & Joerg!
We just love all that you share with us. You are the loveliest couple to watch and listen to. ❤ your talk of decorations and how gentle you handle them is so precious.
I'm pausing halfway through to say it's so refreshing to see a tree showcasing dear memories and various new and old loved ornaments as opposed to an overly styled limited decor. This is sweet and beautiful 😍!!!
I still use my grandmother's Christmas decorations...over 50 years old. You are right....brings so many great memories...I wouldn't trade them for anything!
What I love about Christmas is not the gifts under the tree, but the tree itself. When we were first married, my husband was in the U.S. Army and got deployed our first Christmas as a married couple. That year, I didn't bother to put up a tree I think because we hadn't had time to buy one before he was deployed. The next year, our tree was very basic--just plain colored ornaments. But after that, I started collecting ornaments every year. Each ornament represented some place we'd been or something we'd done the previous year. Now, 30+ years later, there are no more plain colored ornaments. There are animals from all over the world, there are sea creatures and seashells, ice skates, Santas, Nut Crackers. Each ornament holds a special memory for us and getting them out every year is like seeing an old friend that you haven't seen in a long time. At some point, I'm going to have to stop buying ornaments because our tree is so full! Thank you for sharing your special memories with us.
I live in the USA. My mother saved me some old large colored lights. I remember having them on the tree in the 50’s. They still work! I keep all of our ornaments from years past. A couple from my childhood Christmas tree and a couple from my husband’s.
I have been collecting Christmas tree ornaments ever since I got married which was 44 years ago now, although I have slowed down considerably now and only buy one or two that really catch my eye, as space for them for the many months when they are boxed away has become a premium. . My mother was German and I love the traditional trees so much. When I was young my German aunties used to send a parcel of Christmas treats every year which included German foodstuff such as pumpernickel, biscuits and tree decorations which unfortunately have not survived the march of time. The clip on candle holders they used to send were for real candles which no-one was brave enough to light, although my mother could remember them being lit on the family tree when she was little. A few years ago we spent Christmas in Berlin which was quite magical. They had a Christmas Market there which was full of wonderful and traditional decorations so I was in my element! The beautiful Berlin KaDeWe store was amazing and on one floor they had a band playing. Customers were waltzing around as though they were on a dance floor. What more could you want for Christmas? We had our first taste of Glühwein in the market there which looked innocuous but when laced with a hefty dose of rum dripped onto a massive flamed sugar cone it became far from innocent!
I am absolutely thrilled to see your new video today! I was so hoping there was going to be a new Christmas one, and I just love your German nutcracker. It’s so hard to find beautiful nutcrackers that are not made in China.😂 I love your videos. I love to just sit and relax and watch them. It just takes me away.❤
Love watching you put up your darling Christmas tree and your beautiful tree ornaments, especially your German Candle lights! I also love your German decorations such as the wooden decorations such as the Pyramid and the Candle Arch, which I remember from previous Christmas videos. The lovely traditional nutcracker from Seiffen is gorgeous. The Marzipan fruit always reminds me of Christmas in England. I just bought a bar of chocolate covered Marzipan by Schluckwerder. It’s so large 500g, it will last all Winter…or maybe sooner 😊. All your Christmas decorations are beautiful and so loved, which makes them perfect. They are meaningful and very personal to you both which fills the room with fond memories. That is how Christmas decorations should be. I absolutely adore what you have done as your wonderful personalities and love shine through. Till next time, Take Care 🤗🥰🇨🇦 PS: I love the paper stars 🌟 🤩
@@suejones2815 Hi Sue! Oh I'm afraid we won't be able to do that this year as we've already planned out all our content until we leave for Germany just a couple of days prior to Christmas Eve.
What a beautiful presentation!❤ Being German myself I really appreciate all the incredible attention to detail ❤ fantastic ornament ideas! Merry Christmas ❤
Sehr schòne ! Fròhe Weinachten wir wùnsche ihnen. Liebe Joerg und Kirsten, vielen Dank fùr ihre video ! Alles super, und eine gutes Neue Jahr 2023 ! - Clara, Deutschland. 👍👍🥂🍾🍹❤❤
I have the decorations for my tree that my mom got in Germany when my older brother was a baby (sadly he and my parents have passed away) but they are 73 years old. I would never throw them away.
Love, love, love your traditional and the new kingfisher is stunning🤗. The paper is stunning as are the paper stars..I will definitely make some. I am the same, we have a traditional tree.. loads of decorations collected over 25 yrs in Germany. Lots from the UK and travels around the world and a few decorations from my mum and grandmother. My kids love when I tell them where or from whom all the ornaments come from. I have the German tree candles (the newer, non-cable, battery operated ones). We have a fake tree when we travel back to the UK at Christmas.
I tell you what, I always love watching all the Christmas tree decorating vlogs and by far I love yours the best it’s not commercial or over stated it’s simply beautiful, classic and meaningful ,to put each item on a tree and explain it’s origin or meaningfulness I am so in love with your tree , it’s so romantic and nostalgic I can’t say enough I think I will have to replan my tree decor for next year you are both inspiring Thankyou xx
Your Christmas trees look very festive; love the tinsel with balls. Wish it was available in the US. Candle lights look beautifully cosy; remote is perfect. My Christmas tree standard is 100+ lights per foot. It's so illuminated that my husband jokes that you could land a plane in the room!! Thanks for sharing your early Christmas prep. Best wishes from US.
Beautiful tree, I never have a theme I use all the ornaments that I or my family have bought for us from around the world. Some belonged to my late mother and mother in law and are around 70 years old and of course the Christmas pickle is hidden deep in the tree for the first grandchild to get excited when finding it.
A lot of fun to watch! We had that fairy lights candle too, when i was a child! With the engelenhaar! You could turn one bulb and all the light went out, and my father had to search in the morning for the turned bulb😆
These are the first Christmas Trees I’ve seen this year which look as though they have been decorated with love ❤ Beautiful, thank you so much for sharing.
Such a sweet video! I too would never change my tree. I call it my Keepsake Tree. It's full of memories, gifts and souvenirs of years gone by. Mercury glass being my favourites. Each one of my daughters and now all my grandchildren have a large collection of gifted ornaments to start their own Keepsake Trees. Adding new ornaments, like you do, each year.
I look forward to your videos every Tuesday! It brings me such joy to see you both. I love the Christmas decor, the treats, and the trees. Merry Christmas to you both! ❤️❤️
Beautiful christmas tree, and love the tradicional german decoration. I remember to my auntis and my mother whith the german decorations in the tree and the natural candles. those were other times. Congratulation and thank you for share.
Oh Kirsten and Joerg you have such beautifully decorated Christmas trees. I am with you, I much prefer a tree full of different decorations with lovely memories rather than a themed tree. The beetroot tart looked delicious too.
I absolutely love your Christmas decorations! Your house looks so festive and cozy. I can see all the love that goes into everything you do. Blessings to you both!
I'd like to say Thank You for your amazing videos. I am currently laid up in bed due to injury and catching up on all the videos I missed has been a bright spot in an otherwise dreadfully boring recovery. Your trees are beautiful and I'm loving the Mushrooms. Anyway, I appreciate all the work that must go in to such delightful videos. Thanks again from an American subscriber.
Вы такие милые и дружные! У вас уютно. И обе ёлки получились замечательные. Очень нравится атмосфера вашего дома. Бумажные звезды - хорошая идея. У меня в планах несколько поделок, возможно, добавлю и ваши звезды.
I really enjoyed you both decorating your Christmas tree last year. It's so sweet to listen to the stories and memories from each ornament. I'm so glad you shared your Christmas traditions again with all of us. Merry Christmas from North Carolina! 🎄☃
Since all of the Christmas decorating is behind me now, I do enjoy seeing things on the internet and your tours especially. Loving the traditional English and German decorating.
Fellow anglophile watching from Sweden, enjoying myself to the full! I now realize that Swedish Christmas traditions stem from Germany to quite a large extent.
I always look forward to seeing your Christmas tree decorating episodes ! I also love putting up our vintage Christmas decorations on our tree, it brings back so many memories ! I notice in many of your episodes you have a lovely small garden area outside your kitchen will you ever do a video on that ?
I enjoyed watching you and Joerg make the stars. Very pretty. Years ago, the Sears shopping catalogue (haven't had that sore for years now ) use to be a very thick , colorful book to order items from. Someone told me how to make a Christmas tree from one of these . By folding each page down , right corner of each page down to meet the center. So each page sorta looked like a sail boats sail. It took me forever because the book was so thick. Finished product was a beautiful tree. We kept it and used it as a table decoration for many years. Had so many compliments on it. You will also get many compliments on your stars !! Lots of love to you both !!
Your tree is so beautiful! I love the way your pack all of you ornaments away each year. So nice. The paper stars are stunning. I may have to make some. It is wonderful to see both of you.
I wanted to tell you that it is February and I am just now seeing this video. It's marvellous and your Christmas decorating is so dear. I think you did a lovely job of everything. My favorite is your red striped cups and candles! Greetings from 🇺🇲.
Thank you for sharing with us! I love the old fashioned/traditional holiday decorations. I don't normally decorate that way but for the holidays it makes me feel all warm and cozy. I love your tree and all the beautifully crafted decorations. Cheers!
I just love coming to your house for decorating for Christmas. Your tree is similar to ours, so it’s always fun to watch how and what you hang. Thank you for sharing your joy. Oh, and that yummy bread footage. ❤️
Hello, Kirsten and Joerg. I am from Georgia, U.S.A. and I found you from another of my channels I subscribe to. I am of English, Irish, Scottish, Welsh, German and Cherokee Indian. I love watching people from my background. Love your Channel.
I loved all of this. From the foods to the decorations to your pleasant & peaceful personalities. I always loved the old, glass, painted Christmas tree decorations the best. I liked your cat one the best, followed by the lamb, and then the birds (and then the people). I've never had lights like the ones that look like candles standing upright. I like those. I've never seen the mushroom ones before, either. They are interesting.
