In today's home vlog we decorate the Christmas tree, talk about our plans for the upcoming holidays and Baby Yoda makes an appearance! We got Jackson the Mandalorian Baby Yoda bunting from Columbia and he tried it on and it was SO CUTE! We got some other things done around the house and it felt great! Can we all appreciate Tim wrapping presents and doing it so beautifully! I can't remember my husband ever wrapping presents He will put my presents in a different or bigger box for me to wrap because he wants me to unwrap gifts but "can't do it himself" 😶 Also loving Jenn's hair!

My partner goes to the chemist to buy presents and they would wrap it for him, and the shops that don't wrap gifts than he will wrap them but not beautifully, but hey even I don't wrap beautifully too, I have 20 presents each for 3 adult children and a 11 yr old, this yr the 11 yr old son wrapped most of the presents not beautifully (at least I didn't have to wrapped them I hate wrapping presents so it doesn't bother me) This yr my partner's adult son brought and wrapped my present.

My parents have always had 2 or more trees (of various sizes) around the house as far as I can remember. The one in the main window was always blue and white. It reminds me of winter and the holidays the most. The color scheme has always made me think "elegant."

It sounds like maybe it’s getting to the time that Little Buddy is ready to start learning how to fall asleep without mom or dad in the room holding/rocking him or staying in there. You can definitely tell he is growing up quickly and not wanting to be held like he did just a couple of weeks ago. I’m not going to lie, it’s rough as a parent when you decide to do that. The great thing now is not only do we have baby monitors that you can hear everything clearly but you can also see everything in the room.

Jackson is getting so big and is so adorable. One reason he may not be sleeping well: when babies are learning to walk, their brains go through a massive period of growth (motor neurons connecting and pruning) and this activates them - so they are less sleepy at bedtime and when they wake up at night, they bolt up, primed for movement and are harder to get back to sleep. It usually lasts a few weeks and then is back to normal .

The days do indeed get away from you. Time flies so fast. We retired 3 years ago and time flies even faster even though we have longer to do things. One of my favourite Christmas foods is gammon (ham) egg and chips (fries), which we have on Christmas Eve. It’s tasty and easy and gets us in the holiday spirit. Happy Christmas from Hastings, on the south coast of England.

Love the tree, it looks like ours with the blue and white lights! With Jackson moving around more it may help him to relax at night before going to sleep if you massage his little legs before bedtime to help relax the muscles, that really helped my daughter.

You mentioned favorite dish for the holidays. Mine is one my grandmother loved, as do I. It's called Cranberry Relish. Unlike cranberry sauce, its served raw. It consists of 2 bags cranberries, 2 gala apples, 2 mandarin oranges, 1 cup chopped walnuts, 2 cups granulated sugar, 1/4 tsp ground clove, 1/2 tsp ground ginger. Process cranberries in food processor by pulsing until coarsely chopped. Process oranges peel and all until finely chopped, core apples and process until coarsely chopped. Combine in large bowl, add sugar, walnuts and spices stirring well. Refrigerate at least 4 hours for flavors to meld and cranberries to absorb sugar. Its delicious and different than normal cranberry sauce and Honors my grandmother by bringing back memories of her at Christmas.

Oh my gosh! Baby Yoda is adorable! And your Christmas Tree is too! Jackson is doing what most babies do as they learn to walk. Imagine the workout his little body is doing as he goes down and up again when being held. It’s like 3D sit ups that help his core stabilize so he can walk better, run, sit on a stool etc. when he does walk, it’s so cute! Right now he walks with his arms up high. As he naturally lowers them, you will notice he doesn’t fall as much at all. But right now when his arms up, he is able to catch himself when he falls. He will (I hope) still crawl sometimes and that’s ok, it’s not a regression, because it helps his eyes learn to look at different angles and heights. It also helps to give his hands more input and strength for things coming down the road like holding utensils, coloring, writing, typing, holding his own spoon etc. You can also do things like having him hold onto something that he won’t hurt himself on to challenge his walking skills. Just so much development happening in only a year! Have a wonderful Holiday Season! You guys are enjoying every second as you share experiences with him!

Thank you for mentioning Tad’s Tasty Treats.I had no idea they were located in Corning New York, that’s where I live. I also have an adult autistic daughter, who just loves watching you both. Tara just loves Disney world, that is her happy place and somehow she found you guys on RU-vid and has been watching you ever since. And now I watch you also. We were able to make it to Disney World in January 2020 just before all this pandemic happened. Tara has been to Disney World at least once or twice every year during her life (33) and I hope we don’t miss this year, 2021.

First couple of years with a little one - you learn to LOVE shatterproof ornaments. Then you upgrade to glass (or pull your pre-baby ones back out).

Ham has always been my family's Christmas dinner; Christmas Eve was always informal & fun with homemade pizza, sub sandwiches that we called grinders, my dad would always make sausage, peppers & onions, in later years chicken wings were added, and of course the counter-top bar. Miss those days. Hope you make some fun traditions!

We have a baked Italian dish for Christmas. Garlic bread and salad. yum. My favorite holiday dish is dressing. Bread dressing. Mom and I will be celebrating alone since Dad died last Christmas Day. but He is in a better place and did not have to go through Covid 19. I'm grateful. Love you guys.

Yes, red light helps you sleep. Blue light is actually what tells you to wake up since there's a lot of blue light in sunlight. It does take some time getting use to it. I would suggest also putting on a white noise machine so that he doesn't hear spikes in noise with you guys still awake downstairs.

Hi Tim and Jen--the silver decorative candies that your mom used are called silver dragees. They aren't meant to be eaten, but I ate them when I was a kid too. In fact, I kept the last few that were in the bottle in my Mom's cupboard because I always thought they were so fancy and cool.

OMG YES on the piles. And YES on the constant laundry!!! I’ve so been feeling this lately. It’s definitely a baby/toddler issue. Last night I finally tackled one of my piles and- for reference- I hung summer tank tops and there’s currently a foot and a half of snow outside.
