This is a strange brand. Outrageously expensive and while the products are good, i wasn't blown away. Especially when you consider the price point. What do you think?
How many times can I say that I adore you and love watching you? You are truly one of my favorites and I love that you state your business and move on. Your brushes are AMAZING and I truly love them. I have asked this before but a quick video on washing them would be great. I am terrified to wash and ruin them. I think they must be made from the hair of angels and I don’t know how they wash their hair. Haha.
Jom Ali - thank you, I will check it out. I know how to wash a normal regular brush. His brushes are special and beautiful and I didn’t know if the care in washing those was any different.
Hello Wayne from Hartselle Alabama USA💋💄Love your videos! Started doing the technique of moisturizer under facial oil..everyone thought I had done something to my skin! Grateful for your tips and everything you do is short and sweet! You are a peach 🍑
Hi Wayne, I had never heard of this brand until I went traveling in Japan a year ago. I think they are more known for their skincare products. I use their face moisturizer and it’s the best I’ve used so far. Would love you to do a review on their skincare products. Thanks!
First utube coment ever.. Just wanted to let you know that I just purchased your anniversary set volume 2, and am trilled with it. They are fantastic brushes, and the fact that you teach us how to use them is wonderful. Thank you so much.
I just bought an eyeshadow from them, its around 19.41 pounds n i do love the texture n how it shows on my lids. It’s very smooth and the colour is beautiful. Mine is BE882, it’s sell at 2700 JPY without tax, so I literally buy it cheaper in where i live than in Japan, Happy. 🥰
I just learned about this brand. I love the eye shadow and creme blush I purchased. Stunning colors and love applying them with my fingers. Ordered 2 more shadows and trying out their skincare with the serum. I guess that is why they have so many brands. To appeal to different customers tastes.
Just a suggestion, would love to see you start a makeup line which includes foundations and concealers for everyone. You already are the doing the brushes and they are great. Love from Trinidad
I purchased a Decorte lipstick while in Japan. The formula kind of has a similar feel to the Cle de peau radiant lipgloss. Personally, I love the easy wear, comfort, and color of their lipsticks. Easy to apply at my desk or on a bus when I don’t have a mirror/time for a product that requires more precise application. I probably will not re-purchase only because I’m lazy though, and it’s not available on Net a porter, Nordstrom, etc. But would love something similar. The style of makeup is very Japanese - light color & application, no/light makeup type aesthetic. On a trip in a typical Japanese department store - there will be so many lip products of similar variety.
~NOTE~ "NOTIFICATION SQUAD/GOSSGALS" As most know that there are 100's of beauty guru's/Mia's etc..on RU-vid and they do their little review weather it's honest or not....who knows ??? I think that THIS video should be the measuring stick/Holy Grail On how an "honest" " constructive criticism" review should judged by and or done. What do ya'll think ? True or Not True ? Thank you Wayne very much for your undying honesty. It is very appreciated ! Hugs from Texas💓
Yes, Wayne being sarcastic is funny to me. Personally, I am not tempted to try these as if I pay 'luxury' prices I expect the product to look and feel special.
Annette Gilbert “gentle humor” is a great way to describe Wayne’s style. Even when his humor is a bit naughty it’s delivered in a gentle way that leaves you saying “did that cutie just say that?” Lol
Hi Wayne, thanks for the review. Can you do a tutorial on freshening up your makeup after a full day when you need to keep going into the evening. I often don't have time to take off all my makeup and many times my foundation after 10-12 hours is not holding up. Thanks!
48 pounds! That’s insanity! Especially for stuff that creases and is in icky packaging . I swear colorpop cream to powder shadows look better imo. I love your honesty!
IS ONE OF THE BEST OF JAPANESE.....I GUESS IS BETTER FOR JAPANESE SKIN....I USE A FEU SERUMS AND CREAM AND LOVE IT......I THINK YOUR SO CALL REVEW IS VERY SUPERFICIAL.....
Please try a brand called Maquillage - it's the diffusion line from Shiseido. You'll like it much better than decorte, especially the face powder that comes out every Xmas! I think of Decorte more as a skincare line than a cosmetics line.
I first came across this brand when I was on a flight. I initially thought it was French (not sure why) 😂 but it was actually Japanese which thinking back now I was on my way to Japan on a Japanese Airline flight. Back then 5-6yrs ago I could never justify almost $100 for a small travel size lipstick palette. I still can't justify that price now. Then I saw it on duty free and out of curiosity had a try. I wasn't impressed with anything for the prices so I left empty handed.
just received a Decorte eyeshaadow after seeing it depicted in Liv Tyler's vogue video - her eyeshadow palette is much larger than the one you get. Like you I won't be buying another.
their foundation is great, along with some skincare products like the cleanser. its supposed ot be the cousin of cle de peau, but cle de peau still remains #1 for me!
I'd be curious to know who is a real make up artist (someone with training and makes a living doing make up on others) vs a make up enthusiast (someone who loves make up and enjoys wearing make up). RU-vid & Instagram have a lot of make up enthusiasts who call themselves artists. It would be interesting to know how the job is defined and who is the "real deal" so to speak.
The lipsticks are 35.00 and the eye shadow is 27.00 which is not very expensive but the product is quality and a decent amount so I would not expect the packaging to be high end at that price point.
Overpriced middle of the road makeup. The prices probably reflect the cost of the Kate Moss ad campaign to promote it. I'm not remotely interested. Tom Ford does it for me when it comes to luxury - hitting the spot perfectly with quality, product quantity and bloody sexy packaging.
Does anyone know if Waynes the air brush(the black one) will be stocked back to buy. It says sold out and limited edition on beautylish, does it ever go back in stock or was this a one time buy and Im to late. Thank you for anybody with information. Have a great day!
Not a fan of these Japanese “luxury” brands with fake French names in general. I don’t even think Japanese people buy into them, they are mainly heavily marketed in other Asian countries.
That's ridiculous! £25 for a single eyeshadow pot that creases? Pass. Besides, ColourPop has cream to powder shadows for $5 and they're beautiful but dont crease and I can save $30.
All the money went into hiring Kate Moss to be their "face." [snort!] Worryingly, there is no FAQs link at the site--which is very high endish--such that you can find the ingredients and learn about the company's ethics; responsible companies are transparent about animal testing policies and allergen listing. I have a tagline for them: Dodgy, with a veneer of luxe. TFP!
Honestly any lipstick that isn't matte and doesn't dry is just kinda useless for everyday wear in my opinion. You can't eat or kiss or anything without transfer and it just feels yucky. I'm glad the makeup world is focusing on liquid to matte more now:)
I know. That's why I said probably lol. Obviously that wouldn't be the case for people with medical conditions or people who live in really cold climates. I just happen to live in a relatively warm climate so whenever people have chapped lips here it's usually because they're not drinking enough water.
