Yes but use sand paper first to make surface of your pot matt.

Yes you can but you will need more varnish as paper is thicker.

I have applied a second layer of varnish, its still not completely dry (24hrs) but I already can notice that the varnish looks cracked as its drying :(

I think you are using wrong varnish as acrylic one should take about half an hour to dry

your correct, I am actually in Finland and my wife just told me that what I bought is actually "staining varnish"
