A duck hunting trip to the midwest wouldn't be complete without getting to spend a morning hunting a farm pond, also known as a tank in Oklahoma and Texas. I was lucky enough to find one in the middle of nowhere that was absolutely loaded and after getting the go ahead from the farmer, we headed out there in hopes of getting on a mixed bag shoot. Our morning got off to a hectic start after we showed up to a completely frozen pond, but after opening up an ice hole the action started off with big flocks of ducks decoying in perfectly. A strong north wind had the migration in action as well and we were able to pick off a couple unexpected species to round off the morning. Hope you enjoy!
