Well it's all about where you hunt..also you have to rmber these guy's don't have day jobs and travel and hunt 24/7 so the odds of shooting something goes way up.also it's where they are hunting."real" hunting is whatever works for you..im sure if you could sit in a tower blind and shoot a 180 buck with the drurys or whomever you wouldn't pass it up.

I really hate when some dipstick says "this is real hunting and that is not..." I've personnaly hunted from a dug-out in a snow-bank, I've pushed woodlines on public land, spotted-and-stalked, I've sat in trees over scouted trails and water holes, I've sat in ground blinds, and I've hunted from open and enclosed towers over feeders and food plots. I've used rifle, air-gun, bow, and bare hands. I assure you...IT IS ALL HUNTING! Different styles, for different folks, in different parts of the world, under different conditions, hunting different game; but still hunting. Unless your stalking game with a spear or a willow bow strung w/guts slinging sharpened flint you're using a modern advantage to secure a successful harvest and it is still hunting. Only way its not hunting is if it's raised in a pen and led to its slaughter.

I like how Shane says u smell him, he's been dead for 24 hours. Wish I could have been here yesterday. Remember that it isn't too low as much as it's too far back. The goal is to time the shoulder when walking & slip the arrow in tight behind it. Not barking @ the deer to put it on alert. I really enjoyed this video but it's frustrating to see things that should be instinctive not instinctive @ all.

Teds last 3 shots 1) missed a buck at 15 yards 2) gut shot a buck at 20 yards 3) hit a buck in the antlers at 30 yards. put down the camera and spend more time practicing shooting than editing and filming . if your gonna be shooting like that then drop the FOC fairy dust and shoot a big expandable

its calling hunting and not killing for a reason. no matter how much you practice at some point you will always miss or make bad shots. especially on mature bucks. but u must make a perfect shot every time 🤡

It's funny the irony of getting a tracking dog just for Ted to end up on his hands and knees trailing drops of blood lol

Fantastic! The greatest feeling in the world…when you have all but given up and find your deer nearly randomly. It happened to me on my second biggest whitetail buck a few years ago. Ted was exploding with pure elation. Congrats and well done!

Congratulations Ted, great buck. Your perseverance in hunting 12-13 days straight then your perseverance in the tracking job paid off. Good team effort.

Great video. This one in particular showed me the importance of pre-planning (knowing the area and the availability of trackers), and planning a network of like minded, dedicated people to assist in the harvest. When we speak of confidence, it's not just the best equipment or the amount of target practice. Knowing that you are "not alone" further enables you to take the shot.

Truly shows the power of perseverance....You had a lot of true friends along , in the end only the shooter can call off the search. The stamina of a large buck is amazing...The heavier the bow and the arrow combination is always a plus....A lot of guys "rigs" wouldn't have buried a arrow in the horn like that. Congrats

Way to go Ted. Great perseverance in finding him. Love that you guys and gals all get involved helping each other, that's what hunting and the outdoors is all about. Love it!!!
