Dee-1 Explains Why Cash Money & Lil Wayne Banned his Mixtape from Being Released | Sway's Universe

We can always rely on Dee-1's message to be positive and uplifting. So when we heard that his mixtape, Separated at Birth was being banned by Lil Wayne and his team, we had to get some answers.
While we had Dee on the line, he explained that Wayne heavily influenced his style -- so to pay homage, he took some of Wayne's hottest songs and rapped over them with a more positive message. But much to his surprise, Weezy's team wasn't thrilled and was advised not to release it by management.
It's still unclear as to why Cash Money isn't allowing his free music to be released, but in the mean time, catch up with the story above.

I rakp0 except the message is a 180 from what Wayne is about. which makes me love Dee-1, I was an avid Wayne listener until my life changed to live for Christ so Dee-1s music is perfect for someone like me. His concept to use Wayne's beats is genius seeing how Wayne's mixtapes carried him between albums. now that he's a rap-canon people like Sway have to take up for him but Wayne's music is honestly poison to immature minds which is his mainstream listeners. Cash Money isn't Dees label, Cash Money was going to sue Dee if he published the song, not to mention that Dee used to look up to Wayne and Wayne is still Dees favorite Rapper. He's saying what he's saying for a reason, but that might cost Cash Money their cash money so it can't come out.

I believe Wayne took it as both coat tail riding and a diss (basically, saying Wayne's a bad person). I don't condone what Wayne's doing, and it confirms Dee 1's message. Ultimately good will win over evil.
