This was a great dance record in Philly. Popularized by DJs Jerry Blavat & Ron Diamond. Having danced on TV during that time, this beat gets your feet movin'. That was a half century ago, and I still dance to all that great Philly music.
EXCELLENT SONG!!! Dee Irwin is one of the most under rated singers out there. He has some amazing material that's under the radar. This is a tremendous track.
This is the only version I remember hearing in my part of the world, Philadelphia, PA, which is not a slouch city for Soul music. It is still remembered and enjoyed there among the aficianados who have long memories for this kind of good song.
Philly back in the day dancing to this memories 17th and Chestnut 1977 I was 17 ha Jerry Getor wit da heater let me in 😎 Peace Peeps❤️God bless America
Shivers down the spine, legs and feet moving in the computer chair....wishing I had a dance-floor and other dancers round me to express the sheer joy of this record...that's how I feel right now!
This is near enough the perfect soul tune, brings me out in goose pimples. Thanks for sharing it, I will now dig out my vinyl copy, blow off the cob webs and give it spin.
Bought this 45 as a college girl, 17, wondering if I'd ever get a boyfriend of my own. Played it and dreamed. Sure enough, been married 51 years. Bless you, Dee Irwin. Your talent is unending.
