I think Jett took Eli’s mountain bike approach of gracefully hopping bumps and carrying a rhythm through rough stuff and he perfected it. It also helps him handle pressure because he’s not on the ragged edge holding on for dear life.
Yep you’re right about the mtb approach. Eli learning from his dad and Aaron Gwin. There’s no throttle in MTB it’s all momentum hopping doubling carry speed through corners. There’s a lot of time and energy to be saved.
@@PeterReefman making a point that the guy who wasn't conserving energy , for some reason had the most energy at the end of two motos so maybe that theory is all shet
@@JonTo-ng9cd and? That was one race in washougal....this is a new week different track.....don't get me wrong it would be dope if haiden pulled it off his rookie season. But let's be realistic it's not gonna happen.
I have never really been a fan of yours but holy fuck after watching that on how well and how knowledgeable you handled that, I now have nothing but respect and admiration. Well done mate
I' m an old-time off roader and know Shain Watts the Ozzys are true Bros. I'm an American and all over Hayden Degan but love the Lawarence Bro's too. Love this and keeping it civil.
Hunters got it, but Deegans gonna be there every race fighting for it no doubt. But if Hunters 100% then he takes it. Nice seeing Gypsy on the mainstream dude hell yeah!
@FlapJackKila Yeah that's not true at all. Hunter came from a DNF to winning Spring Creek, where Deegan went 5-8. Then Deegan after going 5-8 won Washougal after Spring Creek. That motto doesn't hold up in this sport. I'm basing my guess on experience and the tracks that are left. They're nothing like Washougal. And I'm guessing because this sport is incredibly unpredictable especially in the 250 class, that's what makes it so great.
Amazing talent, these guys are so good to watch ! We all talk bout Yamaha power but nothing bout HRC giving these guys an awesome package to be able to dominate 🤷🏼♂️
Hunter has been the better rider all year aside from bike failure and washougal, hunter has the points lead, I think he will take the championship, deegan is a phenom and will win many titles but I think Hunter will get this one
First I hope nobody gets injured in the final stretch. That said I'd bet on Hunter for the win. Plus how amazing would it be to see the brothers battle in 450. Deegan wins 2024.
They are both cool guys but everyone knows Jett will smoke Hunter just like he’s smoking everyone else, but Honda will be happy have a 1-2-3 podium possibility nearly every weekend
I don't know it's been a crazy year so far Eli 18 points up in the championship with 3 races left then blows out his Achilles in a WTF freak accident then instantly GONE ! 😳 Hunters bike blowing up ,him going down in several races and Haiden as a 17 yo rookie winning his first national overall, first pro podium, RED plate holder and then that ELI -ish Beast mode ⚡️gets released from outta nowhere 😎💪 that left everyone's Jaws to the floor in ALL out amazement ! Motocross is alot of things but it is never dull boring Or predictable Either can win but I guess it's all upto the Motocross God now of just who has already been picked 🏁🏆
Why is this moto 2 the greatest moto of Deegans career and yet you can’t find the raw moto broadcast anywhere on RU-vid? I am a huge supporter of Deegan. Been watching the guys RU-vid channel since he was on a 65 and would love to watch this moto!!
But peacock 5 bux a month they have all the live races plus you can go back and watch old races and tons of cool shows on there so worth the money also lots of moviea
I have it on my DVR and watch it 5 or 6 times. Kid rode that race like the cops were chasing him. If he rides like that the next 3 races nobody is catching him.
i'm for Hunter in part because he needs this chip worse than Haiden. but i'm worried about Hunters starts against the Yamaha's. especially this gnarly start stretch.
Old school Vs. new school style. Haiden reminds me of a young Ricky, smash and rip, whereas the Hunter Bro's are more calculated and fluid. Two completely different riding styles.
Really? Define this “Silver Spoon” Deegan has had, vs. the “Sacrifices” Hunter has made. So, if Haiden’s father was penniless, there wouldn’t be 7 titles at Loretta’s and Haiden would be a privateer? Talk to me…
Omg this again silver spoon you cant buy speed or talent who cares if your raised in a not well of family to a well off family. This bu bu but deegan has the best bikes best equipment people shut your pie hole and haideen will surpass jett when he moves to 450s face
@@normandbaillargeon2214 yep, Deegans made all their money in the US. It wasn't given to them. Should never be jealous of successful people, its a bad look. 👍
Honda should have Hymas and Shimoda on the 250, I'd bet they're not going to run 3 250s and 1 450. But that would be interesting, it's time for Hunter to move up, his style suits the 450🏁🤙
Hunter is the obvious guy and has everything to succeed butnpeople forget the guy has been hurting all year. Idk why he doesnt take some time off to heel and focus on the big races this fall instead of racing with 70% health. DBDeegan is an amazing feat and can only get better. He has one of the best life coaches in his Dad to lead him and keep him grounded.
Who Farted? 2mins 46seconds, I heard it. Who was loud and proud on that one? I played it over like 12x for my buddies and we laughed just as hard the last time as the first!
What the announcers at Washougal work struggling to verbalize about what they were seeing Haiden doing . So the just called out the Tomac , beast mode . But it was not beast mode . It was the dangerboy transforming himself from dangerboy into simply DANGEROUS. Haiden Deegan transported himself into the DANGERZONE. I believe that he knew what he was doing. I think this because he literally put a warning ⚠️ label on the BACK of his helmet > ( DANGER ) , so that all his competitors could read it clearly. His 1-1 epic ride left none of them with an excuse not to have seen the warning label. Hopefully Haiden can will himself back into the DANGERZONE at Unadilla. When I watch that 2nd moto at Washougal, I play the song from top gun . And it fits perfectly > ride into the DANGERZONE !!!
@spodey oh ya sing it brother .... watch his second moto on your tv with the sound off and play that song on your phone and it will Crack you up how it fits . Start the song as soon as hunter falls .
@@think2cre81 Cool! I’ll try it! I do want to say I’ve got great respect for Hunter, really. But Deegan’s 1st moto start, talk about hooked up and power to the ground. Two of those tomorrow and all bets are off. 👍
@spodey oh, I love Hunter . I have nothing but respect for hunter. He is very intelligent and level-headed and has mad skills 👏 He deserves to be exactly where he is . He earned every victory. I just watched him a few minutes ago , he said the the time off really helped his ribs . So he feels 💯 % .... so if Haiden can give him a good run . Or win one or both of the motos. Haiden will be in his head even more than he is now .
some faster riders have been pretty inconsistent this year to keep deegan in it but these last few races deegans speed has bumped up a level. i can see him winning some 250 titles very soon. possibly even next year
i think ppl are underestimating the familiarity and comfort factor in Deegan’s ride. he’s the future for sure, but his speed on hard stuff and stuff he’s familiar with is palpably better than soft and deep stuff that he hasn’t ridden much. anyway, unadilla will shake out the issue as I don’t think it favors haden. that said, i last rode unadilla in 1993, and what i hear is the track is pretty washed now. so maybe no the grueling loamy stuff i remember. that sounds like a plus for haden who does better on the harder stuff.
Roczen not racing but had he it would be just as dumb to count him out because he has won the championship he's battled Eli & he battled Jatt this year the one time he raced with no MX prep
If's and buts, we could do that all day. If eli didn't blow out his ankle he'd be the champ but you never know. You have to overcome all obstacles set in front of you.
@@xx7legion7xx99well. irs kinda worked out. hunter bike blew up. deegans blew up. hunter crashed on the start. deegan crashed on the start. very equal in terms of dnfs. now it’s just down to who is the faster rider and where they place at the end of the season. my bet is hunter walks in now the leaderboard has levelled out 👌🏻
I go with my AMERICAN guy…. Not gonna lean on Australia 🇦🇺 for shit. Great, good he good rider. Wonderful delight… Danger boy is just getting Dangerous kid.
I don't see these last few tricks being a problem for Haiden, not got the huge elevation change etc like Millville and no more sand tracks. He's rode 2 of the next 3 tracks also. I think he takes the red plate back this weekend tbh. Could be wrong. But that kids got something we haven't seen for a while
@@Carpfishing4400well that couldn’t be anymore wrong. cooper smashed deegan and hunter also did, cooper is underrated and his speed is covered by everyone talking about deegan. see deegans immaturity come out on the restart going up the inside as fast as he could and nearly sent people of on a stretcher
@@gord6695 so what happened before the red flag?? Deegan was gone, nowhere in sight for the rest of them. The 1 Major mistake he's made all year and your slating him for it lol. Get a life man
@@Carpfishing4400 naaa just stating facts. you can’t handle it stop watching it. you’re going to be very upset if shit don’t always go you’re way. don’t care for the kid. i’m a lawrence fan and this season has gone perfectly soo far for me. what happened in the second race ? i ain’t even a clue where he placed. same opportunity as everyone els. need some more consistency can’t just ride fast 4 races a season and hope everyone crashes and dnfs lol
@@gord6695 Lawrence fan, says it all.... oh well done, a 6/7year pro has beaten a 17year old rookie 👏 just like what was expected at the start of the season. Hunter is the favourite and should win this title. Everyone knows that. The fact is, Deegan has over achieved by a long way. I bet you said at the start of the year he wouldn't even win a race lol. 38 other riders on the grid and your not slating them. Its a little embarrassing hating on a kid tbh. Oh and he finished 5th coming from way back just so you know. As your clearly not a proper fan of the sport if you don't even know the top 5 🤦♂️
Triumph and Beta must of had some assurances that ICE will be here for a while, otherwise they wouldn't have spent so much developing a new petrol engine. As good as it is I doubt a Varg could go 30+ two laps on one charge in the hands of a pro, especially a soft and/or deep track. Not having an interchangeable battery is a big mistake IMHO, at the track or trails your day is done when the battery is flat or wait a few hours for a charge off an ICE generator.
Not saying you're wrong but elaborate if you would. Where do you think Hunter excels and Haiden lacks? I do know Haiden has been far more consistent than Hunter. However, Cooper has been the most consistent out of anyone this season.
Not IN THE LEVEL OF HUNTER?? WHAT THE HELL DOES THAT EVEN MEAN. YOU NOT IN THE LEVEL OF MOTOCROSS PERIOD. IN THE LEVEL? HUH? ANYONE UNDERSTAND THAT STATEMENT???
@@jhutch1470BUT HE DID HAVE TWO DNFS. AND HE COULD HAVE TWO MORE. SO HAIDEN WOULD BE CHAMPION WITH NO DNFS. HUNTER IS THE ONE MAKING MISTAKES. BIKE ONLY GOT HIM IN ONE RACE.

i wasn’t really pulling for deegan until after washougal. I love what he said on the podium and seeing how much it pissed off the pulp mafia made it even sweeter. idk who will win the championship but i will def be rooting for deegan
Hunter is the definite favorite. Deegan had a great ride at Washougal, but that doesn't undo everything Hunter has been doing all season. Hunter has been the best guy all year, despite battling injuries and a mechanical DNF. Unadilla will probably be the healthiest we've seen Hunter all season and he's going to come out super motivated to make a statement. I wouldn't be surprised if he goes 1-1 and makes it look easy doing it. He's been seriously banged up all season and he's definitely the guy who benefits the most from this 3 week break we've had. I think Deegan throws away at least 1 moto this weekend going over his head to compete with Hunter. He feels like he belongs in this title fight and is going to be willing to do something out of his comfort zone to do it. We've seen him be pretty controlled throughout most the season but he let it hang out at Washougal, if he tries that at Unadilla it's likely to bite him. The stage is set for him to make his first big rookie mistake if he lets his ego get the better of him.
@tankeater oh it's you again, your blind love for all things Deegan has brought you back to me. Lovely. One good ride isn't turning the tide of the season. Deegan's only wins have come on Hunters worst days, that's not a coincidence. He's still never passed Hunter in a race. The only way he can beat him is starting ahead of him and hoping there's enough people in between or Hunter crashes. Deegan did look good at Washougal, and he's definitely the best rookie in a few years, but he still has plenty of holes in his game. Maybe he'll win a title next season with Hunter and a few other guys gone.
@@seanhaberman4619 "Deegans only wins have come on Hunters worst days.". Washougal was one of his "worst days"? Have you watched ANY other season that Hunter has raced? LMFFFAAAOOO are you delusional? "He's definitely the best rookie in a few years."?????? Few years??? LMFFFAAAOOO I can smell your hate seeping through your comical ignorance 🤣 name me a better SX and MX combined rookie season over the past "few years". I have a hint for you, go back a decade, and don't look for the last name of Lawrence LMFFFAAAOOO
@seanhaberman4619 didn’t you predict deegan 7th or worse for the year? And you definitely said he wasn’t going to compete for the championship! Sooo keep betting on black bud it’ll turn up eventually 🙄
If deegan wins he will still be in the lead next year unless he has an injury, then the next best guy could take the championship. Hunter better stay 250 and not compete against his brother, or Sexton.
If Justin barcia gets a whole shot at unadilla he will win, if Jed is behind him he will not attempt to pass him because of Justin's riding he won't jeopardize the championship
Between Hunter, or Haiden, I think whoever wins this next race, will win the championship. Would like to see Haiden win it, but if I was betting, my money would be on Hunter for the title.
@@PeterReefman Good point. Maybe they take themselves out for the rest of the rounds and RJ Hampshire wins it. Supercross this year had us all guessing in the end. Lol
I know there is no rookie motocross racer that in up the points will settle of people telling him to take second place and honestly after Haiden bike broke at Unadilla I think personally I think Haiden riding his mechanics personal YZ 250 2 stroke I think if you start training Haiden either on the YZ two stroke or 450 the engines and again, I think personally Haiden start training on a YZ 250 two stroke he would kick butt and be the Doug Henry of 2024 for bringing back the two strokes if the motor cross industry is grown with the four strokes being so expensive can you imagine bringing the price down the cost how many more people would get into it
Im sick of people saying haideen deegan was raised spoiled rich family hes got the best bike’s equipment. You cant buy speed or talent he worked hard just like the lawrence bros did.
Ricky must be able to see this that Hunter has a better style & makes up time on every rider that is in Front of him Haiden is unpredictable not sure if he drops back or makes up time but next year will be better for him At the moment Levi Kitchen is a better rider than Haiden good chioce for MXON
You would think people from motorsports like Danica Patrick would have her own team. Money setting in banks does nothing but set. Initial cost must be scary high.
