Sorry, kinda boring video, but I had to clean my airbrush and I figured I'd show you guys how in case it's helpful! Watch out for a fun chocolate bar design next week!
this is so weird because I was literally just looking for a video on how to clean after using cocoa butter! Most of the ones I found were paint related so it's great to have this which is chocolate work specific
While I think your break-down job was probably more thorough, maybe you could have just sprayed hot water through the gun without the needle, until the water sprayed clear?
No the problem is that the cocoa butter was outside of the spraying area...so that would not have cleaned it because it leaked into parts that were outside the normal pathway. For regular spraying just warming the cocoa butter and spraying it out until it sprays clear is enough of a clean, no need to introduce water into the airbrush unless you're sure you can get it dry. Plus I think it is smart to know how the airbrush works and how to take it apart in case any other issues arise.
