I’m from the suburbs of Chicago. Cracker thin crust is generally preferred by the locals over deep dish. Deep dish is usually more of the party trick to wow the out of town visitors, but both are delicious! Make sure to get some Chicago dogs and Italian beef when you go!
Yep! Born and raised in Chicago and you’re dead on! Thin crust, square cut pizza is the only way we fly here. When people from out of town come in we take them to Portillos first and then Eduardo’s for stuffed crust. Those are very Chicago things to do.
Thank you! We don't mind party tricks when traveling. I (Amy) could never be as cool as a true Cicagoan (I had to look that up. ) I do prefer the thinner crust but the deep dish is so good too.
Us too!!! We had to stop for awhile due to some personal challenges and death in the family. We're regrouping here in Vegas and appreciate travel bugs sticking around while we explore one city for awhile
I go to Amore every week . I live this place. My favorite thing to order baked penne with meat sauce. Also if on Tuesday for the appetizer get the stuffed mushrooms. Absolutely phenomenal .
We have been there several times. Very good pizza. Me and my oldest boy stopped in for lunch one time and got a regular crust pizza. We both broke our "anchovy cherry" here. Now we both like sardines so I think that helped us out. The thing is, we loved the pizza! Like I say, have been in several times, once with the whole family (wife and me with all four kiddos), and we always enjoy our meal.
That is the first deep dish pizza I have ever seen that actually looks good. The famous one, Giordano's never looked tempting. The thin crust pie looked great too. The restaurant looked like a very fun place to go if you like sports.
Wow! Great way to start the weekend...haha. A good Cbicago style pizza is hard to find. This place looks great. Now...if they have Chicago dogs and Chicago (Garrett's) style popcorn...I'm on my way...🙂 Thanks folks..stay classy!
9:34. I use the term, "The Sum of All Human Knowledge Right Here" You're continuing to add to my "Vegas Restaurants" folder on YT! My brother lived in Chicago for a while, and he had no idea what "Chicago Style" pizza was, so they ordered it as they normally would a regular crust pizza. They ate one piece each, and took the rest home. Last year, I got two pieces down me, and waved the white flag! As always... Edit: "If You Don't Get That, It Ain't For You" I'm so stealing this!
Well, there goes the diet. You inspired me to have pizza tonight as well. MMMMM, pizza. Thanks for the video and education. I love the unscripted nature of your videos, thanks.
Tavern style is the thin crust and small pieces intended to fit on a square bar napkin and not take up too much stomach room to slow down beer sales. It originated from taverns in the Chicago South Side.
Dave again from suburb also come in the fall millennium park is has many changing trees with color take a architectural boat tour downtown Chicago river
Agree and they're both yummy We've only tried Giordanos in Orlando and have been wanting to check out the one in front of Horseshoe. They have a personal size option that looks perfect
Oh...you mentioned coney style dogs. Not kidding...Detroit has great coney hot dogs and an impressive restaurant scene. Maybe another city to check out on your travel tours... 🙂
It's been on our list When traveling in an rv, we had hoped to make it to Michigan next summer Now we'd like to spend a long weekend in Detroit at some point
@@bestfoodreviewroadtrip7612 Awesome! If you have time...consider putting the Henry Ford Museum on your list...just outside Detroit. It has some amazingly pieces of American history. 🙂
Oh my goodness 😊 I love Chicago style pizza. So good 😊 Been there many times. Go during the fall and get pizza from Lou Malnatis. My oldest brother went to high school with Madonna.
Dave from Suburbs work downtown Chicago Pisanos on Madison not far from the bean you want to see lol lot of history behind this place one place of many a walk away from millennium park where bean is. Not corporate pizza
Nice video once again. Honestly, we stopped going to Chicago a few years ago. No longer a safe city. Even the “Magnificent Mile” has many shops that are vacant. We used to go every year. No longer worth the risk. Just our opinion, for what’s it’s worth.
First time it was ok, second time i puked for 24 hours. This spot doesn't even make my top 15 pizza places in Vegas. Brooklyn's Best is probably #1. Yukon, twisted sourdough, Evel pie, biggios, good guys and Side Piece are all solid imo.
