I think yall are on to something by showing the exact examples of where the team may have gone wrong. I would appreciate more of these sorts of breakdowns. I never saw Conner lose that rep vs rice

Riley Dodge's interview about Quinn was enlightening. He talked how he spent hours every day recovering from the double hernia surgery.

I've made this comment before, and I'll make it again. Quinn doesn't throw with anticipation. He's not the guy who always waits for his guy to be wide open, but he does always wait until the window starts to open. That makes him a tick late on everything. I don't know if it's a trust thing, or a recognition thing, but it's a problem. When it combines with not getting enough depth in his drop, and overstriding when he steps into his throw. and it leads to putting himself under pressure. You see it on all three of these examples.

On the Iowa St. play if you watch Baxter out of the backfield, he puts his hands up for touchdown when he sees A.D. Mitchell break open. You know they ran that over and over in practice and the throw execution cost Texas 6.

I think you’re leveling me up as a fan.. thanks! Solid and interesting analogy of Free Throws vs LayUp.. needs to be mechanically sound. Arm punting the ball .. also very descriptive and colorful in a good way. Great examples. Actually seems the timing is off with either undisciplined mechanics (most often) or doesn’t trust his anticipation on WR breaks and the angles taken on their breaks perhaps but both need to be resolved or he’s not leveling up.

Quinn is solid on the short throws, its the longer ones where he struggles. He is not a champion. Anticipation and overall instincts is where he really fails. He can barely feel the pocket. Arch is the stud who brings the INTANGIBLES for a title run, AND I WANT ONE!

I will say though, critiquing his platform when a d lineman is a yard and a half away from you is understandable, but I’m going to have to look for examples of when QBs can remain planted and make that throw. I would assume that size is the only way a player can be confident enough to make that throw. I was thinking there could be something he could do by moving his feet to make a better throw.

Paul, would love to know what’s on your bookshelf? Hopefully lots of Dostoevsky. Dude was based. He foresaw lots of what was about to happen in his country and what we see today.
