when i was a child my grandma sewed me a wednesday addams dress for halloween and i loved it so much i never wanted to take it off 😭 i'm so sad it doesn't fit me anymore, i love that kind of dress to this day
layering is key if youre a fan of a peter pan collar!! i've had much better luck finding shirts with a pretty collar vs dresses, so i often end up just layering shirts under my dresses to get that look! (i've even cut the sleeves/torso off of shirts if i like the collar but the shirt is ugly/too bulky under dresses lol)
for the victorian heels or boots or whatever you can also try looking up “pointed toe boots” or “lace up pointed shoes” or something like that. i’ve done it and i’ve found some
You could probably diy the angel mesh miss sixty top. If you found a mesh top you could print out a picture of that angel or one similar. Put the picture underneath the mesh and trace it with one of those squeezable fabric paints. It’d probably be a good idea to put a layer of clear plastic in between the paper pattern and the fabric so it wouldn’t get stuck.
american duchess makes some shoes similar to the victorian ones you were looking at, expensive of course but maybe keep an eye out for secondhand ones 🥲
Girl its time to learn to sew . So many of these are so easy to make and common fabrics to find. Pedal to the metal and get stitchin! You would be so happy.
I’m learning slowly ! My mum is teaching me but it’s so hard lol. In my most recent thrift haul I have a dress that I’ve made from scratch so I’m getting there !

There is pretty good thrifting in Ballarat. In Wendouree there are four thrift shops on Howitt Street alone. My favourite ones are in Sebastopol and Delacombe. Also a cool vintage store on Main Rd, Ballarat. You can catch a train to Wendouree and Ballarat but I'd recommend taking a car and do the full opshop circuit.
@@vexthrifts Castlemaine has a great vintage bazaar near the train station. It's a little pricey but worth a look. Usually a lot of cool homewares etc. The Castlemaine Salvos is pretty good too .
And maybe add Daylesford and Bendigo to your thrift road trip...lol I've always liked Storehouse Thift in Bendigo as they have some pretty cool stuff and their prices are always reasonable. Daylesford also has one of those big Mill Markets, which is fun to look through again for homewares or little vintage gems.
hey!! i have that red plaid button mini skirt it’s by the brand toy box ❤️ i also had it in black and white but it was a smaller size and showed my whole bum so i sold it on depop 😭😭 so the red one i kept is a size bigger than my usual size and it’s a bit more modest
Omg the struggle of getting people on fb market to respond. I have found many gems on there but idk maybe people just change their minds after they see someone wants what they have? it’s annoying though, like why make the listing if you don’t wanna get rid of it?
