DEEP DIVE INTO SHINee - Get to Know the Princes of K-Pop // Updated SHINee Guide (2022) | Reaction 

I don't normally get into a group that fast, but I found Shinee earlier this year and it feels like I've known them forever. They're all so hardworking and always wanting to learn more. It's really inspiring. Onew is my bias, but honestly it's so hard to pick a bias in Shinee because they're all so amazing!

The thing I love about SHINee is that they are genuinely nice guys with great personalities. I think SM has gave up trying to control them years ago. When they’re together I think they should have supervising adult. Really love these guys.

Taemin gets a lot of hate from other fandoms (especially from fans of individual members of different groups, who also go solo) purely because of jealousy. There’s literally nothing to criticize - he’s an exceptional dancer and an absolutely amazing vocalist, who proved his worth countless times having 2+ hours long solo concerts and singing flawlessly, while dancing complicated choreographies. Only people who know nothing about his discography dare criticizing his vocals. On top of it all he’s a super kind and super humble person, not to mention he’s absolutely “odoroble” (as he sweetly pronounces it in his cute, broken English). I would love it if you reacted to any of his English speaking compilations (there are some with SHINee members and they are hilarious). Thanks for a very enjoyable reaction!

Their voices "are soo delicious when they blend together" - the most accurate description of Shinee harmonies I've ever heard.

Thank you for getting to know our shiny ones, for always treating them with such respect. SHINee is a roller coaster of emotions. They are so important in my life that there are no words to properly describe them. There is so much content from them over the years that they have a huge journey to learn more about them. Jonghyun's iconic fall, Minho's laughter, Onew's clumsiness, Key's hilarious responses, Taemin being Taemin. There is no way to avoid falling in love with them. See HELLO BABY, babies taking care of babies, so cute. I cried, because I am excited to see so much talent, I am very proud of them and of being Shawol.

The guys' personalities in my eyes (other Shawols can chip in as well) - Onew (pronounced as O-New, Shawols also call him Jinki ie his actual name) - He's normally the quietest member but can be just as funny in variety shows. He's capable of doing something totally random which cracks us up 😄 Jonghyun (many of us call him Jjong for short) - Extremely funny, insanely talented, charismatic and perceptive. He still has one of the most distinctive voices in the industry. My all-time fav kpop vocalist. Key (Shawols normally just call him by his real name Kibum) - King of Sass but extremely caring. I love his willingness to share his thoughts with others. Sometimes suffers from second hand embarrassment caused by his members' shenanigans lol. Minho - My ult!! I call him the 200% man....always giving his best, values fair play, famous for being competitive especially on things that he is confident of doing well. The group's hugs dispenser, adores kids....and kids love him too 💕 Taemin - a beast on stage, off-stage fluffy and clumsy, always up to some mischief when his hyungs are around. Practically raised by the 4 guys and they are his happy place.

Omg, you won't regret getting into SHINee. Our boys are 5 talented shining artists who will steal your heart, looking forward to seeing your journey!!! Also, you're just in time for Minho's album coming out soon 🥰

As for variety shows - if you girls prefer to start with the newer ones, their appearance on Jae Jae's show is one of my favs (it's a double episode btw). They talk about their musical history and cringe-worthy moments lol Another fun one is 1theK's Prison Interview (just search SHINee prison interview and you'll find the video) - recorded during their Don't Call Me comeback. Their appearance on IU's Palette is a good watch too. The boys debuted a couple of months earlier than IU so it's great to see their friendship lasting till today. What's even cooler - they covered each other's songs 😎 They appeared as a full group twice on Knowing Brothers - I love their 2016 appearance as there was an unscripted skit at the end which had me 🤣 Many reactors have gotten YT copyright strikes on this program so maybe you girls can just watch it offline and tell us about it later. Their Weekly Idol appearances are hilarious too. It's great watching the boys sometimes turning the tables on the hosts. Classic 2nd gen savagery at its best 😂 As for compilations, those by Cheese Stick & SHINeeing Stars are my favs. As a start you can check out these Cheese Stick videos - SHINee Moments That Will Never Not Be Funny - for the entire group Kim Kibum Being The Most Iconic Idol on Livestreams (2020-2021) - a must for Lil Freaks lol Key and Minho Annoying Each Other For 15 Minutes - featuring the legendary Tom & Jerry couple. I really love it when people get to know SHINee more. These 5 are such gems, and so happy a lot of people get to discover and love them. More SHINee please. Subscribing so I won't miss on anything.

So fun to see you go through this impeccable guide! Not only are they, both individually and as a group, legendary performers and artists whose influence cannot be measured... they are also such gracious and kind humans. They are so supportive as seniors in their company (it's so hilarious to watch them interact during SMTown for example). People love to work with them and they treat both staff and fans with love and generosity. They are sooo gifted but all the attention and accolades have never spoiled how they treat other people and how they also want to keep growing and developing. It's truly remarkable and there are not many groups in this world that can be so prolific and celebrated as well as so long lived as a group of artists.

Thank you for reaction.With Taemin it was the opposite. Despite his young age, he didn't want to stop. No one forced him to spend hours on dancing and singing. He set his own goal and went for it. I think it's the difference between talented people and talented-hardworking people . some people succeed because of their hard work, others stay in the shadows.

Since you guys asked to recommend some variety shows, I think you should watch I Live Alone episodes 434 and 449. It's a show where Key is part of the fixed cast and in these episodes Minho comes to spend the day with him. It's very wholesome as we get to see more of their relationship in a casual environment. These episodes became so viral in South Korea that they got sponsored by some brands and invited to other shows to talk about their 'old married couple' relationship. One of MBC's producers also said that their episode was so succesful that they might be nominated for 'Best Variety Couple' at this year's MBC Entertainment Awards. The first person signed for shinee was minho. Lee doo man sm entertainment co personally signed onew. Then Jonghyun key and Taemin were signed. They were all signed with the agency in 2005 their training was 3 years and they would train for 6 to 9 hrs a day in singing and dancing and always sung live. Taemin and Key have known one another since Taemin was in 5th grade and Key in 10th grade when they were at school. Jonghyun was seen in his school band playing base guitar. Minho was doing modelling at the time he was signed. Have any other questions feel free to ask. Oh this guide was so good! For funny compilations I'd recomend a channel called "cheese stick". They are great and make the funniest Shinee fan content out here imo. As for variety shows, Key's currently a fixed cast member of both 'Home Alone/I Live Alone' and 'Amazing Saturday', in which other Shinee members have appeared as guests. As a full group, they've been on 'Knowing Bros' and 'Weekly Idol' multiple times, and they have a reality show called 'Hello Baby'. Though I'm not so sure if these are YT friendly (prob not lol). There's a few popular interviews that other reactors don't seem to have any issues with, such as 'IU's Palette Ep. 5', 'Kids Review K-Pop Star's Career (ft. Shinee)', and their episodes on 'MMTG'. Both Minho and Key have been on 'Jessi's Showterview' and these seem safe to react too. Other than that, well, there's a lot of behind the scenes/ just entertaining short videos on Shinee's YT channel itself, where you can also find some playlists with specific comeback's content. If I were to point any of those out, it would probably be their 'SHINee's BACK' mini series. There's a still a lot of older Shinee content I didn't mention here but I hope other shawols will.

Onew, the cutest person I've ever seen and my best friend. Jonghyun is the love of my life, always on my mind and in my heart. Minho is my husband lol. And Taemin is my biggest weakness. Based on all this, Key is me, we look alike and we have a lot a lot in common.

Taemin wasn't tone deaf. He was 14 and his voice was still cracking. Teen boy. Tone deafness doesn't go away because the person who is doesn't even know that they are. They can't recognize tones. Like music scales. It would be very difficult to sing. As a choir assistant I can say there's nothing more painful than to cut someone just for not singing in tone and they get upset because inspite of hours of practice they are still singing the wrong key.

I am babywol and army... I love shinee, they are so talented and funny. Someday i would like to watch them in concerts...

watching this vid makes me reminiscing memories since 2008 as Shawol~ anyway welcome to the journey~ and trust me that there are sooooo much about them as a group and as soloist that you girls can catch up in future... maybe you can continue this journey till their next comeback in 2023... after baby cheese Taeminnie finish his military service, we will get to see then as a whole again... yeay!!

Beeing a fan for a little more than 10 years now i am always happy to see baby shawols discovering the pure joy that is SHINee! Their debut song "Replay" was my first experience of Kpop. Listening to SHINee feels like coming home, feeling warm and cozy, cry my heart out and be comforted. It was truly hard losing Jonghyun, i remember my Twin crying for days and that really shows how close we hold all of them in our heart. Shawol forever!

One thing that got me into SHINee aside from their amazing talents and personality is their friendship and love for each other. Thank you both for finding the time to get to know SHINee. I am excited to watch all your reactions to SHINee and each member. Thank you.

Hi, I loved your reaction and that you want to learn more about them. As much as I love that SHINee sets trends. Taemins debut age was not starting a trend. The youngest to ever debut (until today as far as I know) was BoA who debuted at the age of 13 in 2000 and I think there are a few other girls before Taemin around 14. I am not saying its not a problem, since they loose a lot of Childhood, but yeah. A trend that not started with SHINee :)
