True- and also just add, in the case of this “performance”, I believe they were also recording and so audiences were basically made to stay still 😀. Plus I remember my grandma telling me once that she went to some televised show however she didn’t know guests in advance. As you’re watching you’ll see that there’s a wide variety of ages the cameras picking up on. A lot of older people as well who probably had no idea who they were coming up against 😂. Love this version as well as the album version. Phenomenal band.

It wasn't me bu uut... When I started to 'like' 'subscribe' & 'comment' (which wasn't all that long ago & which was purely my excited response to these reaction-type videos) I was very nervous, unsure, and all thumbs - fat ones, lol Thinking about it now I am pretty sure I may have 'disliked' by mistake, thinking I was 'replying' 😖 I still do it, but I correct myself straight away, Earlier on I simply wldn't have realised my error. So unless someone actually leaves a comment to explain their 'dislike' I wouldn't necessarily think it was intended or well thought out. Now a dozen or so and you'd be entitled to an explanation 😄✔ So I'm 63 and for a long while I didn't expect to engage much with technology if I could help it - turns out I can't help it, lol So I'm guessing I'm not the only technophobic hermit, cave dweller, hillbilly mountain man/woman who is coming to life again with these amazing windows into our past. And we DO have to get our spectacles or take our chances fat-thumbng 'in the dark' so to speak (and sometimes quite literally) with all the mistakes that entails. Actually I'm very surprised I've been able to srick with it. So sorry to you (& everyone else) if some of us old rockers create a ruckuss "in your hedgerow", lol PEACE & love 😄❤💕👍👌

Sorry, I just had to blurt that out. Obviously I am a Deep Purple fan & this has always been my favourite of theirs. Yes, the lyrics are indeed so 'deep' and the vocals so other-worldly but as the drums intensity goes from a fast-march to a frantic invasion we wonder how in the world any 'sweet-child' or 'innocent CAN avoid the flying bullets in all directions, worse still the ricochet(s)? AND YET! . .... .silence! In the very midst of CHAOS a 'sweet child of time' wanders onto the battlefield and ALL STOPS MID HEARTBEAT 🙏 It IS possible! It is NEVER too late! And the child is already born whose innocence we should uphold - all children are sacred, or they are scared! Each one is reason enough NOT to continue procuring bullets for vengeful blind-men lost in their wayward rage !!! Led Zepplin had already given us the 'epic' IMMIGRANT SONG our 'overlords' who would save us from our enemies by invading and subjugating us to their will by route of their own particular violence - then here Deep Purple with an equally epic and evocative cataclysm 'a thousand years' on from battle-axes and chain mail. But before either of these existed a primordial musical soundscape that evokes 'the fall of man' or perhaps the rise of man(kind) from a precarious prehistory? The drum solo in the midst of this theatre of polyphony and 'wall of sound' is exquisite and I guarantee that those who love El Zed & Dee P will still be in AWE and amazed to find a foretaste of these two epic giants in "In a Gaada da Vida" by Iron Butterfly ENJOY 🙏❤
