Could you please post a link to your tierlist? The few frames at the end when you show the entire list is unreadable if you don't know all the icons by heart. Thank you.
The idea that you not just simply rate overclocks but provide build is 10/10, it screams added value. But you really need to add a link where we can see the full list as the build part covers later rankings.
Ngl im in love with microflechettes OC. I usually take it in combination with the rocket barrage one. I usually go for mods 1/3/2/2or3/3. The reason it feels so good is because once im done shooting all 72 rockets i take it out to kill long distance targets or to keep things perma stuned (like tryjaws, menaces, spreaders and so) and emptying the mag it never takes kinda less than 5 secs (born ready intensifies). So perfect timing to be allways shooting with both your primary and secondary.
neurotoxin absolutely doesn't do the same job as carpet bomber as well. It does DoT which if you're not fearing everything and having your teammates wait and not firing at any bug who's going to die already is just having teammates waste ammo
@@LyritZianagreed, i RARELY see players that understand how neuro rounds work, ill light up an entire group and they will actively chase them down to shoot them, which tells me either very few players play gunner or they just want their kill number to be super high, but i know i dont mind, cuz ill be saving ammo, they will complain about having none cuz they shoot already dead enemies lmfao
something funny with rocket barrage is comboing it with the heat mod. You build heat insanely fast without needing a driller running flamethrower. Combo this with the volatile bullets and you get incredibly strong damage with the revolver.
I agree with Combat Mobility. I really wanna like it so much but ammo penalty is just too rough, especially when I dont generally run Born Ready. Would prefer some other negative for it.
39:45 Electric Reload is great by itself. But it's really OP, because it's universal. Here's the list: 1) Makes a TON of electrocuting damage per shot, but it kinda makes you an OSU player, when you need to land 1 single bullet into a weak-spot of enemy (it does no effect if you hit armor). Also, it REALLY overpowered against grunts, because most of them can survive 1 or 2 electrocuting shots. 2) Korlok vines can't shot if you manage to electrocute them, forcing this event die slow and painful. 3) Lootbugs. One shot, reload, collect the goddies. 4) The BEST combo with Zhukovs agains big boys. One bullet to weak spot, reload, switch to your secondary and stuff their butts with lead like a turkey. 5) Electrocution gains bonuses BOTH from IFG and Cryo grenades. I use second one, because swarmers, nexuses and breeders are pain in the ass, as much as macteras. 6) It also works on Bulk Detonators, basically forcing them to crawl in agony. Works on centry bots, forcing them to run and scream like leaf lovers. Works on turrets. Works on tentacles (but only if you land a bulet straight into glowing lazer shooter). Works on dreadnouts of all kinds (funny thing is, it triggers through Gliphid Dreadnought's armored ass, so you basically can stun it a bit with it in IFG field - and f**k it in the ass with Zhukovs. It works against Hive Guard's minions and itself on phase 2 with weak spots, so Zhukovs will deal more damage after landing an effect. 7) And most of all - it saves a LOT of ammo, if you kite your waves right. Because it's mostly takes 1 bullet to make a crowd dissapear. Only guards take 2 shots. For bigger targets it's long and painful death or painful and quick with Zhukovs. If this overclock was with blowthrough rounds - it would be a swarm-deleting machine. 39:50 No, but it stacks with IFG field and Frozen effects. Which is basically multiplying damage from it. Absolute pain!
Shield Battery Booster is easily Overtuned. You completely missed the -5 shield regen cooldown reduction it has now. Which by its own already makes it an S rank. No need to mess with overheating your gun to get insane shield regen. Couple it with shield regen reduction and your shield is always regening all the time. Stepped on a cactus? By the time you realize your shield is full again. Even if it didn't have all the nice other boosts just this alone makes it insane, since it drastically boosts survival, even while you're not using the gun. That it also synergizes with its boost is just now the cherry on top of easily the strongest OC for a scouts main ATM.
100% agree. Scout becomes very tanky with this OC and the damage is excellent too. It is the only overclock that for me makes the drak feel like a strong option over the other guns.
Scout is the easiest class to avoid the chip damage that it helps with though since you can constantly grapple away from enemies, and use your nades to disable for a revive or other emergency. So your reasoning for it being S tier is in large part for survivability, but if you aren’t having survivability issues I don’t see how it’s very good compared to options that boost your damage or general effectiveness
@RathVantas Being able to re-enter combat faster is in itself a DPS boost. If you have to grapple away and play super safe while you're shield is still on CD then you losing DPS. Plus it works while using your secondary, which almost no other OC can do. And this is all being oblivious to the fact that if you're not being hit then it's giving you what is basically the single largest boost to both DPS and ammo efficiency in the game. Seriously, the math on the DPS boost is pretty bonkers too. But really. Survival is king in this game. It may not be flashy, or super noticeable at times. But in my experience playing with it I'm basically never going down. It's rare the day I get even a single down these days. And nothing kills your damage like being down :P
If you are running light weight rounds on full electric stubby. You can don't need to take ammo upgrade so you can take damage and you will have more damage than base stubby
I use mini shells on the warthog with turret whip so I have lots of shots to "waste" on my turret. The dmg is not that great but its very ammo efficient, I think I never ever ran out of ammo since using it. Also plastcrete catalyst deals area damage and slows before blowing up
I got AI Stability and Overdrive Booster as two of my first OCs. So both are S tier, eh? I'm not a huge fan of scout and my engineer is really fun with Breach Cutter which I have no OCs for. But I'm gonna try the Shard Diffractor one soon.
@@firesong7825 I just unlocked Shard Diffractor and tried that booster OC. And duuude, that thing hits so hard. Melts dreadnaughts super fast. Idk yet if I'll prefer it over Breach Cutter though, probably going back to BK once I get an OC for itt
I'm a big fan of Stunner myself, but I'd consider it more of a C tier. I don't think it closes too many kills that you wouldn't otherwise get, and while the increased stun chance is alright, Engi already has access to a pretty wide variety of stuns and CCs. Not to mention it doesn't do anything at all for big targets who are stun-immune. The one saving grace is that it's a clean and offers no drawbacks to taking it, but it still has to compete with its contemporaries, and practically speaking almost every other Warthog option is better.
Also while I'd argue down Fat Boy to A tier, you didn't really cover its value as a defensive tool. RJ250 might have better horde clear on a first pass, Fat Boy's lingering radioactive zone makes it great for missions like Escort and Salvage. It has immense potential value if it's paced tactically - maybe with the assistance of repellant platforms to corral targets into the damage zone.
Dude. You clearly underestimate the power of EFS m1000. Build is 13111. Its basically the only build you need for m1000 (maybe not counting hipster) in anything that's not a modded difficulty.
Thanks for the awesome content. One question: You don't include Thermo-Necro Catalyst into any of the coilgun builds. Even after all the buffs, is it still a meme? If I wanted to try to make it work, any suggestions?
It is good, but only if you are running fire with the minigun or the Hurricane, and that is why I didn't have it on the builds. It is pretty fun to run with the new Backfeeding Module.
You can use electric reload for GK2 with Zhukovs with more damage to electrified enemies in tier 5 to easily kill big single targets, it is very cool and personally for me it deserves s or op rank
Nice list! It's a shame that there are OC sets like the flamethrower and brt(aside from electro mines) that are just the base gun with numbers moved around. They did great with the hurricane OCs by comparison.
The one at the end is squished together, that guy is asking if there is a higher resolution version of the tierlist because its extremely hard to read like that
I actually like to use Supercooling Chamber for my Scout's M1000 because I found myself using Focused Shots a lot while using Minimal Clips and Hipster. For crowd control I use the Boltshark with the Pheromone Bolts and Fire Bolts together; and the Pheromone Canister. I use the Pheromone effect for drawing in bugs around a Fire Bolt I shot onto a larger enemy or even the ground. I'll even have a Steeve Grunt Guard in there to take the brunt of the aggro.
i'm coming back to DRG after my epic Baldur's Gate 3 run and I got a Desktop now that can play!! I saw the maintenance update and needed this list! Thanks Ron!
Good video! This aligns well with my (limited) experience with the OCs as well as the opinions I've seen from other players who know what they're talking about. I appreciate the way you explain all of them and touch on stuff like fun factor and included build examples.
I say this entire game comes down to fun factor, if you play it super serious all the time then you will eventually grow to hate it cuz you arent having fun no more
Return to Sender for the Breach Cutter can actually be really good if you just change your t4 and t5 upgrades to armor breaking and triple lines. it can clear hoards, melt pretorians, and with loose node can rip the caretakers vents apart without a driller! i pair it with the exact same stubby you use with EM Refire Booster so it slows down and finishes off whatever the Breach Cutter cant.
I really want to love turret arc, but it needs a major change. That change is it needs to activate and create an arce between all turrents by only hitting 1. Right now its still too cumbersome, and will get you killed on hi haz levels having to take the time to re-setup turrets, and hit both turrets. 90% of the time I can't see both turrets, or you have to keep moving so only one is easy to shoot. If it worked just like discharge, and made the arc after shooting one turret it would be phenominal.
Combat Mobility should be at least A tier. Super fun and good OC. Salvo mode too. On close range its a heavy shotgun and if you are hitting weak spot, its even more deadly. Deserve S tier imo.
Disagree - the combat mobility downside is massive, and rocket salvo while definitely fun is not really game changing for most situations and definitely not an entire tier above the other rocket OCs (outside of minelayer) like you’re suggesting
The Subata OCs are garbage, how can it not have any proper OC that just properly buffs basic stats like damage, ammo and reload speed. Mini Shells is C tier?! As if, solid A tier, how can you put Special Powder in S and Mini Shells in C?!
