I’ll Co-sign this. I try and get out a couple times a month here but I am more impressed by the fishery in florida. Probably just a grass is greener thing.
Thanks for watching! I love Florida, but you also have a great state. Theres more to do in the outdoors out west. Hiking, diving, skiing, fishing its a beautiful state
I def wanna do a Cali trip for this one day. I’m so used to Louisiana limits and the rules are so more relaxed tho like we don’t have a number of hooks or rod and reels we can use and I watch some Cali channels and over there you can only use one rod per person. A Cali channel guy had 2 rods, one for fish and one for snaring dungeons and red rock crabs and he wasn’t even sure if he could use both at same time so he only fished one at a time. Lol
These meals are worth waiting for. Love the constant small details and fresh takes on each fish. Also like the care taken in catch, clean and preserve makes the meal.
I’m from Huntington Beach ca and it was cool seeing you fishing on the west coast. I’ve probably been watching you for 4-5 years now and I’ve always been obsessed with east coast and especially Florida fishing. I hope to see you guys out here again. There’s been some big bluefin in our waters calling your name and from what I’ve been hearing it’s been 100 years or so to have this size in our waters
Hi from a SoCal native. No need to cut out the "blood line" on the rock fish. I've had vacuum sealed filets last two years in the freezer and cook up like they were caught yesterday. The key is proper handling just after the catch. Straight into an ice/salt water slurry after gill and gut. Can't go wrong. Thanks for the Cali segment.
Yes viewing from Oceanside CA. Went Salmon fishing in SF last week. Not productive might have been the full moon. 1 trip 10 fish out of 12 anglers (possible 24 limit), next trip 14 anglers 6 fish (possible 28 limit). Going out soon from Oside for rockfish and halibut. Doing a lot of surf fishing as well when the water is warm along the coast. Been watching all your videos while working on paperwork. Love the way you all say Mutt-in. Did some tarpon fishing in FL a few years ago. Bow to the king.
👋🏽 Hi! SoCal (L.A) girl here, born & raised 🌞 My family and I are new to fishing and eating fish in general, partly thanks to you two. I have been subscribed to you & Brookie for a while now and just got my 11 year old son isaac hooked on your channel (no pun intended 😀). He wants to be a chef when he grows up & loves watching you cook. Keep up the great work and keep making us hungry!
I am born and raised Las Vegas Nevada and have been out on more charters/fishing experience than I could remember and honestly since I have moved to Tampa Bay and my parents have moved to merritt Island I have experienced better fishing than I have ever released available thank you for all of you hard work to make this (education and knowledge) available to your "average joe"
I'm from California. I enjoy your video's. Glad you enjoyed fishing in California. I just got back from a fishing trip in Islamorada. We were serious fisherman and were taken for just a boat ride. Wish we would have had a good captian to get the best Florida fishing experience. Well, it wasn't all bad. I did catch a nice size Mutton.
I live in Southern Cali. I took an open party boat to Santa Barbara Island a couple of weeks ago. We were in search of YT with no luck. However, we changed to rockfish. So much fun!
Watching from Alberta Canada, when I do get the chance to go Ocean fishing it is to the west coast in British Columbia. There the main two targets are Salmon and Halibut. More and more, and for the better a lot of people are fishing for Rock fish and other species like Ling Cod and Cabazon. Some of the species of Rock Fish caught are Quill Back, Vermillion, Copper, Black, Yelloweye and more. Fishing the West Coast is an amazing time, and the last time I was there I tried spearfishing and am now "hooked" (pun intended) and planning a trip back for three weeks next year!
Yes, my name is Paul, and my wife Linda and I are from San Diego. We also have a Lake house in Clearlake Oaks CA. I get very sea sick, so I mainly fish fresh water... Love your vids!
Awesome fishing. I’m .8 miles from the entrance of Marina Del Rey. As you ride the boat out the sea wall I’m on the left side, Playa Del Rey. My profile pic was a yellowtail I landed a few years back. I’m glad you had a great time in my back yard 😂
I’m from Southern California and I really enjoy went for a fisherman come this way and fish and learn different techniques. Bummer you guys weren’t around when the bluefin made it up there(I’m from San Diego) but hopefully you can come back next summer and cast into some formers with 40-200 pound bluefin.
I am from South Africa and love watching Brook and your Content keep up the good work. Brooks channel and your channel its really entertaining. I would like to see you use more fresh herbs and spice none of the dried up stuff if possible.
Pretty cool to see what Victor and Brook think about our fishing in Southern California. I have been learning alot about the fishing in Florida through their channels.
Long time subscriber from Southern CA and glad that you enjoyed our fishery here! We need to get you on some Halibut, White Sea Bass and Blue Fin Tuna next time.
Representing Long Beach, CA. I use to work those fishing charters out of Long Beach. Since I join the military I been away and now stationed in Georgia. We are roughly 3 hrs away from Pensacola Beach. So thats where most of my salt water fishing comes in.
Watching from Santa Barbara CA. We did a fishing trip and caught lots of rockfish and grouper. Great recipe idea for the rockfish. Thanks for sharing. We love watching you guys. My girls love Brooke!
Fin Fetish is badass, highly knowledgeable and qualified, I'm very impressed with their experience. I have no doubt that they will put you on a halibut, Vic I am absolutely looking forward to that catch and cook. Have fun out there and safe travels to your entire family and those great crews out there.
Here in Cali and I'm always so jealous how u catch beautiful fish in Florida... But then u come here and show me up as well! Dang! Great video and I'm happy u had a fun safe trip.
Watching from Ventura, CA, just north of Los Angeles. Great videos and glad you were able to enjoy our fishery. I’ll be in SW Florida in a couple weeks and hoping to enjoy your fishery.
Live in Long Beach fish Catalina island and San Clemente island. Fishing for yellowtail and white sea bass. Brooke, that was a nice yellowtail that you caught. Tight lines stay safe.
Hi from SoCal. I’m in Long Beach about 30-45 minutes from Marine Del Rey. Rock fish and sheepshead make great ceviche. Love the videos. Keep up the good work.
Loved that ya'll were able to catch some California rock fish. Enjoying your videos from Bay Area (NorCal), fishing pelagics in SoCal (Catalina, San Diego).

Yeah here from the Bay Area San Francisco we don’t get yellowtail down here but we definitely got some good rock fishing for sure little bit different species of them and big lingcod definitely a cool fishery and definitely exciting seeing you guys experience some of it.
Hi from Los Angeles, I have been fishing here all my life and never caught a yellowtail, next time you come you need to try leaving from san diego and catch some tuna, sea bass and dorado
Looks tasty!!! I lived in San Diego for about 20 years until recent. I've charter fished off of Point Loma in the past and mainly caught rock fish and Ling Cod.
I am from Seattle, the Pacific Northwest. We have all kinds of awesome fish out here. The Puget Sound is a bay surrounded by islands and a peninsula, which has one of the only two temperate rainforests in the world. It's on the Olympic peninsula. The west side of the peninsula is on the Pacific Ocean and the east side of the peninsula is in the Puget Sound. We get five different kinds of salmon, and the steelhead which is a sea going trout. They get up to you know mid-20s to mid 30s or something in the winter runs and usually lighter in the summer runs. Speaking of salmon runs, and steelhead of course, the river systems out here is like nowhere it's so unbelievable you can go any direction from Seattle in under 2 hours and be in massive different mountain ranges, rivers, lakes the Puget Sound of course the ocean is a few more hours you know maybe like three and a half or 4 hours to the ocean ish.
