In this astrophotography video I photograph two deep sky objects, the Pelican & North America Nebula with a DSLR & my RedCat 51.
The match up of the Canon 77d & William Optics RedCat 51 gave me a great field of view which allowed me to fit the whole nebulous complex in the same frame. These were mounted on my Sky-Watcher EQ6 R Pro.
The Filter I used was the SkyTech QuadBand clip filter which enabled me to capture a number of specific wavelengths of light at the same time.
I had a lot of fun capturing this magnificent deep sky target and even more fun processing the final image, which ended up being 2 hours and 30 minutes of total exposure time.
In my opinion, a super ending to a 3 day streak of clear skys.
Just like to finish giving all my subscribers a massive THANK YOU for your continued support. I dont take any of you for granted. I appreciate every like and comment and always look forward to reading what you have to say.
Take care everyone & Clear Skies!!!

Wow Ben! - I have to say I think this is your best video yet! - I appreciate that it will have been an awful lot of work to get all those shots, piece them together and time it up with the music etc - huge effort but huge reward I reckon! :-) So happy for your reaching over 200 subscribers now mate, it's unreal to think of all those people isn't it? it's just the beginning though I'm sure! on the note of the images, my preference is for #1! :-) Super job mate, have a good rest and keep up the great work! Clear skies, Luke

Oh I have to pinch my self Luke. I'm blown away that so many people have a genuine interest in the channel. I've talked to some wonderful people since I started. I don't ever take it for granted. Realy enjoying the jorney so far. Thank you very much! It was a strain on the eye balls I have to say but I had fun and worth it!!! #1 seems to be the one people like. Clear Skies buddy and again Thanks!!!

1st one/top left at end. Much more subtle and natural feeling :)

Thanks for the comment Chris. It's the one I did the least on. I can't decide to be honest but I do like this one a lot. I did find it hard to map the Ha to green. The little voice in my head was telling me it was wrong for some reason. Of course everyone has their own taste.

I love the way you framed this up Ben, great choice of gear and framing! I like first image the best, but they all look fantastic!

Thanks DSH. I do miss the wide FOV it gives. It was nice to go back to it. Been caught up on the 533 lately trying to get my head around it all.

Congratulations Ben! In reaching over 200 subscribers well done . I like all three versions but it's got to be number 1 for me. Excellent choice in music, looking forward to seeing your next RU-vid video.

Great video Ben! Really nice framing on that target. I think I like the first one the most but they are all solid.

Thanks James. Yeh I thought it framed up nicely too, I was very happy. It was a nice target to shoot and the whole night went perfect...(for once). I think I got carried away with my self on the processing, I have never done 7 different versions of an image. I think it shows how much fun I had!!! #1 is flavour of the day, everyone seems to like that one.

G'day Ben really enjoyed the video. Your Redcat delivered on this target. If I had to pick I would probably go the first image. Great job mate 👍

You could've put both scopes on the mount at the same time easily. I couldn't choose one at the end, so chose all of them......Great work!!!!

The mount definitely has the capacity. I don't have the stuff to mount it all but I didn't think about that to be honest. May give that a go in the future. Many thanks!!!

Hi. I really enjoyed this video and I'm really really new to AstroPhotography but I managed to also get a capture of NGC7000 while out fishing and I did the exact same thing you did at the end. I ended up with multiple versions of the same image in different colours !!!! I'm going to go with image 1 because it's full of the natural colour :)

Thanks very much for watching Dave. Glad you liked the video. Most have gone for that image. To be honest out of the three, it's mine too. But I just like to mix it up every now and then. Yeh there was something about this target that made me want to just have fun and keep processing it! Clear Skies!

Thats fair enough. This is one of my earlier videos and was still finding my feet I think, but as I do with all the feedback I get on videos, I take it on board and try to improve.
