Spring break starts tomorrow so my daughter and I will spring clean her room as well. She decluttered 3 items yesterday, it’s a start. I like to declutter first then you actually have room for the items being kept.
This was my plan, declutter then clean, but she likes to hold on to loads of things so I need to work on storage for her. I do have plans for her room and the rest of the house so hopefully very soon she can have a nice easy room to live with
Just found your channel and I’m glad I did. You motivated my procrastinating self to sort my room out. I’m a huge fan of the flinging method 😂 I do it all the time. It works really well. I dump the stuff on the bed and fling whatever in the direction of where it lives. So much easier than repeatedly getting up and down to put it away.
Love your videos and in many ways we are very much alike. I also have to put something on the background while I clean and declutter, not sure why but it helps me too. I’m 65, taught my adult kids to clean too as well as my grandkids when they were growing up but like you, every once in awhile would just have to go in, take a deep breath and deep clean. Their idea of clean and mine are two very different things and I’ve come to accept that we are just different personalities plus I enjoy cleaning, organizing and decluttering. The one thing that works on those Xbox and game vents is a soft toothbrush! Debby, upstate New York
Ohh thank you for that I have a tooth brush for cleaning but not a soft one for the vents, I shall get one straight away. Having different standards for cleaning is a big thing as you say. Most of my family are ok with the clutter and mess it just doesn’t bother them as it’s not “dirty” just “messy” yet to me and many others “messy” is “dirty”. As you say I accept these things and the best bit about it is, I no longer feel so guilty if some days I don’t feel like making the whole house clean and tidy. Everyone wins
@@RaquelTrotter I agree. It gives me some much needed exercise doing something I enjoy though I didn’t always like it 😂. Mine were taught not to leave clothes on the floor and to pick up drink containers, food, trash, etc. but to them it’s just clutter not dirty. To us, oh no, we need it cleaned up and clean. They do appreciate it and say so, do know how to do it but I truly believe it’s just a difference in who we are.
We got her into the vet and the vet sorted her for us, turned out she was scenting, I had no idea girl cats did that. The vet recommended nurturing so we did that and there has been no problem since
I would thoroughly shampoo the mattress and buy a nice matress cover that cover the e tire mattress with a zipper (after drying it thoroughly, of course).
Yeah she’s getting one. Although she’s planning on getting a new bed soon so we can just get a protector when she gets a new one. I can keep shampooing the old mattress until then, it shouldn’t be to long
You have probably noticed already, but the cabinet near the window will not allow the drawers to fully open (at least from the camera angle I saw.) Shift it, the bed, and the nightstand over until the drawer clears the radiator. Love your commentary as you record.
It does look like that doesn’t it. They open fine though. There’s a plug socket on the same wall as the radiator, behind the unit so the unit is further from the wall than it appears, allowing the draws to open properly. 😊
Great job as usual , carpet came up a treat , have you ever tried killrock mould remover, i find it brilliant, but not sure if ive ever tried it on silicon. I hope you put your feet up with a well deserved cuppa after that 😊❤
Awesome job! Do they ever clean up after their selves? You should not have to work so hard for two grown people!!!!!! I hope she appreciates you for being a great mom! Maybe she could have a larger trash can in her room and throw the trash away instead of on the floor! Kitty would probably enjoy her cat house toy if it was on the floor. ❤️🦋❤️🦋❤️🦋❤️🦋
The cat loves her cat house now it’s up off the floor, she never bothered with it before and now is on it almost everyday. Yeah they do clean up after themselves just not very often. There will be plenty of time for her to clean and tidy when she gets older. She knows how to do it but for me it’s more important that she is free to enjoy her life and go out and have friends without worrying about how clean her personal space is. It is her personal space, I ask permission before I clean and or film it and if she says no then I don’t do it same for my boys room, while his room is pretty clean he is almost always in there and doesn’t want me cleaning and filming, disturbing him so he refuses and I respect that.
Make a sausage out of loo roll & put it on the window silicone…poor enough bleach on to soak & let it soak a whole day & it comes up good!!! I’ve just done mine! Good old youtube!! I tried it with vinegar & it ruined the silicone.
I’ll be replacing the silicon soon. My plan is to kill the mould and the fungus that hides below the surface of mould growth, bleach sadly doesn’t do this apparently. I also detest the smell of bleach so if I can avoid using it I will. I’ll keep your suggestion in mind though
@@RaquelTrotter from what I saw on youtube, by doing the soaking in bleach for the day suffocates the mould . I hope it does kill it cos I’ve done mine. We had all our windows replaced 8 weeks ago & the brand new silicone is already mouldy 😩… the bleach sausage has worked-for now. Xx
@@vixistixi please keep me updated on the progress, I need something to get rid of the blasted stuff. From what I understand mould produces fungus spoors that spread the make more mould. The active ingredients in mould are easily made inactive by organic materials, that being the fungus, so while the surface muck is all gone stuff lingers below the surface and it grows back. Coconut oil is supposed to kill fungus perhaps smear that on once the bleach is cleaned away so it can remove the fungus. If it doesn’t work at least the room smells nice lol
Hang the long items up towards the window side. Otherwise, they're going to knock the tv over!! Better safe than sorry. Wish I had my own room when little. 3 of us in 1 room; that's what we had. But we cleaned it up ourselves; mom just supervised. Kids need to be taught to do themselves. They're never goin to learn otherwise
