Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT) is a complication of hip surgery, and we take great care to try and avoid it. If the clot breaks free it can get into the lungs and stop the heart. Thanks for describing DVT. I've known a couple of people who had them. They found them to be very painful. I appreciate knowing some of the factors that could cause a DVT, such as sitting for a long time. As a result, I'm going to get up from sitting in front of my computer more frequently.

Thanks Carol. There’s lots of evidence that sitting for too long is bad for your health. Some people say it’s as bad as smoking! I’m not sure about that but keeping moving is a good thing to do.

he xray my hip he said it had a cyst on the ball.i walk all over the place bad limp just pushing though pain every day bac hurts carnt bend or dress that well but still have to do a manual job.nt mere really Jeremy.
