Episode 1 is out and it was a huge hit. Now for episode 2 where we start to expand on what we've learned already in the day. We started to find quite a few other patterns that all look promising, but there is one major factor we can't quite figure out. We still have hope and it's only day one but it's starting to be a bit concerning. Oh yea its HOT real HOT, and I think it's taking a toll on the fish and the fishermen. Either way I still believe you won't be able to figure out how we catch them during the tournament. Let's go fish.

This series is exactly the type of stuff I want to see. I understand the fish will change constantly but it's this type of breakdown, thought processes, and actions you take that I like hearing. Keep up the good work Todd, few offer vids like this.

Not going to lie, when the video ended I was a little disappointed, in a good way. I wanted more lol. My wife broke here leg a week and a half ago and I’ve missed so many days fishing and I just fixed my rod that had a broken tip and picked up two new rods. I want to get out there and start fishing deep because shallow is all I know. But I’m about to not have a boat anymore. Well it’s not really my boat, my friend had a bass tracker in the back of his yard for 8 years and I got it running like new for him and he let me keep it in my driveway for the last year. Now he wants it back. If I had the money I’d buy it from him but it was fun while it lasted. Anyway can’t wait to get on the water and figure them out. Great video.

Get yourself a aluminum Jon boat and put a casting deck on it with a 30 HP Yamaha. I know it's not a bass boat but that setup would get you more or less anywhere you want until you can get a Cat, Skeeter or w.e.

Really like this conversational style review of assessing a new water trying to find fish and how you prep for a tournament. Good stuff, look forward to future videos in the series. Thanks for sharing the insight knowledge you have on these topics.

Good Stuff! of course I had already looked ahead to the results and weights as soon as this tourney ended, which actually makes this series even more interesting now, because I literally have zero guess how yall caught em, because it could be literally ANY technique/bait, ANY water depth/structure/cover, OR ALL of IT.

Same experience I had fishing the TTZ Championship a few weeks earlier. Caught a bunch of keeper fish, but not enough to get even close to a check. Looks like the grass was better than when I was there. Going to be interesting to see how you get the bigger fish.

Was really happy to see this at my lunch break. Food for thought 🤔 Two baits I don't think I've ever seen you throw. Buzz bait and toad. I've got no clue as to your pattern or baits at this point. Maybe day 2 practice will help, though I'm starting to doubt it. A Todd hookset, I'm just getting in the boat at this point.

Enjoyed epi 2, I am deep cranking on Hartwell now in about 18-23 and getting bit. Had a pig on a XD10 only to throw me when he broke the surface. Love that you chose this series at this time. Question though for us anglers that are not practicing and fishing local tourny's, how long is too long when the deep bite isn't there.....?
@toddcastledinefishing5924
@toddcastledinefishing5924 2 года назад
Well it depends on the lake if a lake has the potential up shallow id abandon it quicker. Hartwell gets them shallow even when everyone is out deep.

I love ya your fishing vieos Todd. But I wish you could incorporate your graphs in your stories. Like when you were seeing certain types grass, gill beds and bushes that caught your attention when graphing. Also this road bed if you found it on your graphs. But who am I right?? You're the professional! I'm just a wanna be that likes to be taught how to be a better fisherman at least by you pros.
@toddcastledinefishing5924

I really wasn’t using my graphs for the grass, or the road bed, or bushes. All just my Costas and eyes, you know old school.

The Choppo looked to be dark color in the vid. What was your decision to throw that in the middle of the day with extreme sun? Water murky or ?
@toddcastledinefishing5924
@toddcastledinefishing5924 2 года назад
Here’s my question back and this isn’t rude or anything I always like asking questions back to make you think. You put on there about the sun being out or clarity of water. Why would you think black would be bad. The reason I’m asking is lots of people think that it wouldn’t work but that’s because of years past people “pros” whoever said when it should. I choose it from years of trying things regardless of what I’ve heard or read. I know it would work because it always had for me in the past. Trial and error is the best reaching tool ever. EVER!!!!!!!
@Griswald1968
@Griswald1968 2 года назад
@@toddcastledinefishing5924 Never thought it would be bad, just struck me curious and I wanted to know your take on it. I'm a fan of throwing things out of the norm and against what we are generally taught to be the "right" pattern for certain conditions. Like you said in the video - if you see boats lined up all pitching grass, you're going to throw something different. I'm of the same mindset on most occasions. In fact, I had a club tournament at Choke last September and all I kept hearing folks say was JuneBug, JuneBug, JuneBug. I didn't catch squat on JuneBug so I switched to a snake-patterned worm and weighed heavy bag that day. Show 'em something different! Enjoying the vids!
