Steve please get those pictures scanned and in 2 different storage locations, cloud account, external drive, if you haven't done so already. That would have been so sad if those physical pictures were damaged. What a surreal experience for you and your neighbors.
That is heartbreaking to see. The thing to be grateful for is that somehow they weren’t injured. I really hope the insurance companies don’t try to screw and get over on these people. SMH So glad those photos were not damaged. He’s right, that is all that matters in the scheme of things. Everything else can be replace.
As a Fire Department Chief and in charge of Search and Rescue I have seen all types of emergencies and death, BUT I have no idea why they have not put out this fire. The State and Feds need to find out why there are NOT more safety valves in this system. 4 days to put out this fire is stupid. Thank you to the crews that have busted their butts in the heat from that (I have been in this kind of position on rail cars so I know the misery this causes the crews). As far as I am concerned someone has to answer as to why there are not shut off valves already installed along the line. As far as going to the mans insurance company DO NOT DO THAT! demand the pipelines insurance company info there is no reason anyone in those homes should have a ding on their insurance policies
That company better rebuild and pay all damages WITHOUT any lawsuits needed. Complete negligence to the possible dangers. Build better or pay the price.
Its a pity they didnt think to take video from inside the home and then interview them OUTSIDE it so we could actually hear wtf they were saying. Devastating damage.
them houses that were close to the fire all have heat and water damage and will need to be completely removed and rebuilt. Pray for all the families that were effected by this disaster.
When fire alarm sensors become clogged or decay beyond half-life for those with radio-isotopes, immediately pull them down and disconnect power sources. Don't deafen yourselves!
Firefighters need to be trained on providing a shielding spray versus a water cannon. Most of the home damage was caused by the fire department, not the fire. Shame.
