Well they decided to go with it as it was never played. Maybe if PETE WILLIS was still in the band he would have pushed for it as it was more in his style of heavy rock
No band has the riffs like Def Leppard. The best at writing and performing. We’ll be 90 still rocking out together. I’ve always loved this song. Glad they’re finally playing it. Man, that riff!! ❤
@@gfgranja They did, but there's also like half of Hysteria that they barely ever play. "The hits" dominate their setlists. This one unfortunately was never big enough to even make it onto a setlist during the Pyromania Tour. :(
I'll never understand why this and Billy's Got A Gun wasn't big hits making top charts on the radio and MTV videos. Same with Die Hard The Hunter. Every song on Pyromania was good enough to be a smash hit.
I was in the minority when Pyromania was released, but I always thought 'Die Hard the Hunter' and 'Comin Under Fire' were the two best songs on the album.
Am I the only one who has listened to it 59 times since discovering this live version yesterday? The guys in front of the stage have no clue how lucky they are ...btw, you can see the joy on the Thunder God´s face...
This song is a straight banger! Comin' Under Fire keeps the raw power and energy of High 'n' Dry and adds the polished production of Pyromania. My favorite Def Leppard song by far!
...in a time when most of their peers can't sing anymore ~ these lead vocals and the bands backup vocals...stellar. These guys sound better than ever. Wow. This had to be a great set for them.
I can remember driving around in my old 83 Ford Ranger back when this album came out and just blasting it as loud as my Pioneer speakers could go ;-) This song was always one of my favorites and it still sounds great today.
Yes a great song when it was written with the original lineup of Steve Clark, Pete Willis etc. glad they decided to bring it out of the closet but you can see the vocals were a real challenge for JOE ELLIOT.
@@rattandroll2010 Yeah but when he was sober his 3 albums over 4 years were light years ahead of their 9 albums over 40 years. Imagine if he'd stayed, there would have been so many more Comin Under Fire standard of songs. It's a crying shame the fan's were denied this quality of writing, and for what, other people's egos and ambition combined with a lack of talent.
Sheffield is so lucky to call these guys “their own”. They have been my favorite band since I started listening to them in the early 80s when I was 12,13 years old. To this day and the day I die, I will know this is THE BAND that will always be my favorite. And that’s coming from the USA!!!! Thank you Sheffield!!! ❤
One of my favorite songs! Sounds great. I think I was about 12 years old the first time I heard this album, and have not stopped listening to it. 80’s was a great time to be a teenager.
Ummm the real LEPPARD family was the original lineup in 1980-1982 with Steve Clark and Pete Willis who played this for the record. But they gave a great shot
@@JohnsOnStringsexactly Steve was Def Leppard in a sense. I think the first album is where Pete had the most impact song wise. Even then Wasted is a Steve song and that song is the most revered from that album.
Yes! This is why I started really getting into Def Leppard in 83’! Just cuz radio played a song doesn’t mean it was a killer song. It’s the ones you DIDN’T hear that were usually their best! Keep rockin’!!!🤘🏻
That was AWESOME! I was glad to see Viv play the main solo. Everything sounded great, especially Joe's voice. Can you guys please just play all of Pyromania from start to finish?
I love Def Leppard. Been listening to them since the 80’s and they’re still going strong. What I admire about them is they stayed loyal to each other particularly when Rick Allen lost his arm in a car accident. They didn’t kick him out, they just made it work so he could still play drums. Respect to this band. 🇬🇧

I’ve been waiting an eternity to hear a live version of this song and it’s finally here. Sounds awesome. Love that Vivian did the solo and Phil’s rhythm sounds great. Would love to hear a newer version of Rock Brigade which along with Wasted were the two songs that started me on the road to fanhood for life. Saw them a few years ago for the first and only time and these guys are the most humble even as great musicians as they are. I would love to see live versions of those two songs and if it weren’t too much trouble, wink wink, with Pete Willis as a guest appearance. That would be a dream come true and I’m sure get several millions of views. Keep kicking butt guys. Your greatness is secured.
These guys sure are doing good. Motley Crue wishes they still had it together and we're musically proficient like Def Leppard! They did good getting Vivian on board because he can definitely hold his own!

I have to admit it. I am incredibly impressed with how tight this band still is and Elliott's vocals. I saw them many times in the 80s for 'High n Dry' and then 'Pyromania' tours and they are still getting it done. Still miss Steve Clark terribly as he was the heart of the original Def Leppard sound IMHO but props to the remaining members for keeping on keeping on. When Phil Collen replaced original Pete Willis I remember being sore but clearly was the right move in retrospect. And heck, Vivian Campbell compliments any great lineup although last time I saw him live was way back Dio and Whitesnake days. An underappreciated guitar god. Glad to see him still doing it. Thanks for sharing this. I'll check out this new music that is about to drop.
I am on the fence to say Phil is a better addition to the band than Pete. I mean that with no disrespect. But if you look at it in the sense of guitar riffs Phil created. And also his vocals . Which were much needed for live performances. He’s the better guy. And Vivian does a great job too with singing live as he is a full on tenor vocalist. He can go high on notes for choruses.
Agreed! I seen them in 1993 at MN State Fair. Awesome concert. Outdoors, sound was great, and it prolly helped that I was like 15 feet from stage. I'm lucky to be seeing them again at Target field coming up on August 19. Can't fkn wait! Yes, Armageddon it!
They sound Fucking amazing!!! I have seen them in concert twice and they sound just like your listening to a CD. of all the concerts I've seen over 30 + years. They were the best sounding live!!!!
Man, I miss THIS version of Leppard! Just couldn’t get into anything they did past On Through, High ‘n Dry and Pyromania. Great to hear this played so well.
I went to the same school as Rik, then lived a few minutes walk from the school where their first gig was and even rehearsed and recorded around the same old factories they did…..so I have a lot of sentimental emotions towards leppard, always will have
