I love Def Leppard as a hard rock band. Pyromania/ Hysteria/ High n Dry etc.. I dunno why they consistently insist on doing these cheesy 70s stompy glam pop /rock type bollox!

Because the early 70's British glam rock are their musical heaven, their biggest inspiration. David Bowie, Mott the Hoople, T-Rex, Slade, Sweet, David Essex, those glam rock icons. If not for cover album Yeah (2006), I'm not sure they will got the new energy to produce new music anymore. That X album (2002) clearly show a rock band losing their sights and energy
