What an inspiration! I loved Def Leppard when Rick had all his faculties. I even love them more now. The coolest thing is the band waited for him to recover and make adjustments. That’s love and brotherhood! Holla!
Rick Allen is an amazing drummer and human being. For him to come back from an accident of that magnitude to this level of drumming is mind blowing. You are the man Rick.!!!!!!!!!
What a bond Def leppard have towards rick Alan they are a real band of brothers and I love Def leppard and rick Alan is on hell of a drummer keep rocking guys Ann in Huddersfield West Yorkshire loves Def leppard ♥️🌹❤️❤
And some "expert" drummers would disagree with that, for whatever dumb reason. They're like "oh but this drum solo isn't that impressive". Whatever. Virtuoso musicians are highly overrated to be honest. Virtuosity is nice, sure, but being a virtuoso doesn't somehow automatically make your music better. Sometimes simplicity is key. Many of the melodies in songs I like are so sweet and beautiful, yet they're very simple. "My Heart Will Go On" from Celine Dion is an example. It's how I respond emotionally (and physically) that makes me either enjoy some music or hate it, not how "skilled" the musician is.
@@justinnaramor6050 I don’t talk about skills..I talk about how great he is ..a young rock star lost his arm and he came back and play again…Rick Allen is a legend I don’t care about expert drummer’s opinion
Although he's definitely not the best drummer of all times, (Which he wasn't before he lost his arm, so how could he be after?) But I will say he might be one of the most inspirational.
@@PleasantLakeDrummer so you're saying he's better with one arm than he was with two arms? You would have to be saying that because even with two arms he wasn't even close to the best. So I guess he miraculously turned into the best drummer in the world once he lost an arm according to you... I will agree the most inspirational. And the best one-armed drummer in the world.
Ce mec est d'une force incroyable, un exemple de courage,de volonté, de persévérance, dans un groupe,un vrai qui ne l'a pas jeté comme une merde ,respect pour cela,c rare!
Watching from Greece.hi everybody. An inspirational great drummer. As a drummer and human (but not a fan of Def Leppard) huge respect to the bandmates for waiting for him after the terrible accident that happened to him. 'He survived it and came out the other side stronger'.
It may be an acoustic looking kit but it uses triggers and a drum module for its sounds. They have to be triggered electrically because there's no way you could match an acoustic drum on his right hand to a computer generator drum sound on his left foot. They have to be electric so they can be the same sound.
Rick has always been my Hero and inspiration and why I play drums or took the plunge to live my life long dream. Followed him and the band since the age of nine. Now only a little over 1 year and 3 months, wish I started at the age of nine. Who knows who I'd be playing for now. If you see a video of mine, you'll be blown away, trust me. Especially my Def Leppard - Good Bye Cover. Thanks for sharing this @S-destroyal666
To the person who said that he was cheating, dude, you need to SUCK IT!!!!! The guy lost an arm!!! If you think that you can do half the job he has done, under the most terrible circumstances, then you might have room to talk. Until then, leave the man alone!!
If he didn't know how to play drums before the accident and started to play drums after that would be something but that's not the case he's maybe an average drummer now
@@no_stick_drummer2735 Well that small amp was probably just for demonstration, to demonstrate the concept. Of course in a real concert it would be hooked up to a massive state-of-the-art sound system which would sound better.
Totally agree he wasn't even close to the best drummer when he had two arms. So it's pretty impossible that he's going to be even better now. Nothing against him. He's a total inspiration. And he has developed a style that fits their music and does it very well.
@@gurnblanstein9816 you hit the nail on the head the guys that lose both their legs and get those metal springs for their legs now someone like that would be one heck of an inspiration ya Rick Allen can only do so much that will fit def leppard music basically he just keeps a beat
If he didn't know how to play drums and had his accident than begin to play drums and become where he is now that would be worth saying hes great anyone can play one arm drums come on
