jslingrowd This is true of what you speak of... Disabling your phone altogether due to fake cell towers that are setup for traffic analysis. I personally would have a phone running a honeypot just to see what was going on.
Don’t bring your phone at all. Leave it at home and have your phone calls forwarded to a throw away phone. If you have to call people with your number, just use a spoofer.
I've been to one event in Vegas and the community at DefCon was so enlightening. I felt like I belong and I can be my honest self. Miss you guys last year.
And now we are at a time where someone like me. 26 years old is getting active in a community I had only read about as a kid. Fascinating to see such amazing, intelligent and creative people building the future that I get to enjoy. Now it's my turn. What can I be apart of? An exciting question indeed.
I'll be going to Defcon 2019. I work as a security researcher. The con is everything from cybersecurity, soldering, lock picking to technical talks! Don't be intimidated to go ❤️
im not even working in the computer or software areas, i still want to go because there are such inspiring mindsets and technics to pick up, is it worth it to go there if im not there for work related stuff? cuz i need to travel from germany to vegas and its a big trip to plan atm
While I am not sure that I intentionally copied any part of cocaine Cowboys, I am happily going to say that I have seen that directors work and admire it.
Being in the tech space, I often feel pretty alienated by the general pro establishment belief system of a lot of my colleagues and being a libertarian myself I often don't fit in the a lot of techies. Would love to be a part of defcon one year.
Frankly, it's scary, but perhaps thats the point to get you to not rely on security products, unless you take the time to fully understand there strengths and weaknesses.
I was interested in this, but my hearing is not 100% perfect. The background music masked the speakers to the point that I couldn't understand them. I gave up.
i really wish i can go to DefCon event in the future... rn i can't go there because i don't have money to afford to go there, and i'm from indonesia so it will gonna be cost alot of money 😊 just a minor kid that love DefCon alot
All I have been done all day is watch these defcon talks. Also wondering how I have not known of this sooner.Shit is so good, and really hope I will be able to attend in August Jason Scott keep up the great work man.
This brings goosebumps everytime I watch it. I have never been to the conference but I have a feeling that if they would make a new documentary about DefCon adding parts from the latest editions, the goosebumps would dissappear. Maybe it's just me or maybe the current vlogs aren't as good as this documentary but back in the days everything felt more genuine and less commercial.
It's honestly not bad. You will occasionally pass that one guy that doesn't know what a shower is, but with everything being air conditioned and with everyone being pretty professional about it it's usually not an issue.
Damn. I would want to go someday. ;) Seems like fun. But i live a long way away. Maybe some day ;) Btw, if someone knows who made the soundtrack to this documentary. Plz let me know. I liked it. Peace
Hello - would it be possible to get a contact for someone to talk about using a few seconds of your piece in a feature I'm putting together (with on screen credit, of course)? Thanks! Laura
NSA still tries to recruit people from their but watch a defcono talk it goes into how NSA creates fake company and how they use them it's like catching scammers but more advanced level
They should bring this to Canada, I am a permanent resident of Canada due to the charges I have on record! If somehow my charges can get hacked off the police system then Great but till then I am permanently here unfortunately! I also have no skills in hacking this is hardware or software, would be nice to learn because I want to make an AI Robot and a few other things that will require programming and of course putting together hardware so yeah Hacking would be a start of a Good career because I can then understand software and Hardware to the point I can create things! What all I will create I won't know unless I am taught or am working with a group of people on just any given project we can come up with :) so Yes this should come to Canada, just to let you know also I won't have any income period for another 19 years still, I already dealt with 6 of 25 years of no income and I can't wait till that gets lifted and I can work again and lose this Record :)
There are conditions where crimes can be reduced and dismissed after sentence is served. For example here in California i falls under 17PC and 1203.4PC. Check with an attorney in your area, you never know.
Listen never let the same snake bite you, our complaint box lately have been patterned around them claiming to know the best hacker they are fake... just look up for our add allow us fix it for you as well as repair/upgrade your credit once and for all
Defcon is needed. People with high iq, creativity and an unconventional mindset need a place to have a blast and be free. Imagine walking around in a world filled with borderline retarded people (got no problem with mentally disabled), but that's what WE feel every time we are forced to deal with stupid rules, customs and religions created by the masses. For millennia, we've been beaten down by the status quo. You can bet that most of the people in that event are as lonely as me IRL . I'm going one of these times. Defcon will most likely hit a 50 year anniversary if we don't destroy ourselves before then. Be well.
all this shits crazy it trips me out so much information outthere and i never got into it. Always to busy in my own shit.I dnt knw how to describe it its almost as if i was timetraveling or somethilng like that im WAY behind, but i gotta keep trying to catch up fuk feel like a caveman hahahahaha
Whoa. Ok jason I see what you mean. Do apologise for my very short moment of shallowness. I am going to,take your words of enlightenment and be rhino skinned and not take it personally. Still enjoyed the work.
Watching the first minute of when the guy starts speaking I cant help but notice the director of this documentary copying cocaine cowboys music background and the way the guy is telling his story. But hey it works.
