Venus flytraps do not attract fungus gnats (except to their soil), and cannot catch them even accidentally, because they are much too small to trigger the hairs that snap the trap. Nepenthes pitcher plants MIGHT catch an occasional one that happens to enter a leaf, but once again, they won't attract them because fungus gnats are not attracted to nectar. But the constantly moist planting mix is an ideal environment for fungus gnat larvae. The sundew can help, though there's not much evidence that it actually attracts fungus gnats. But if you have a lot of sundews, they will be attracted to the moist soil and are likely to get snagged. You didn't mention the most efficient fungus gnat trapper: Mexican Pinguiculas, aka butterworts. Not only are they easy to grow, but they attract and digest huge numbers of gnats. Still, they will not make much of a dent in an infestation because most manage to mate and lay eggs before they get trapped.

Hi Thanks for your comprehensive advice. I disagree l have seen Venus flytraps kill fungus gnats. Fungus gnats are attracted to water. Have you ever tried placing a container of water near an infested plant l have seen plenty drown in the container, just the same way they drown in pitcher plants. These plants don't attract Fungus gnats but will kill them when they have the chance ie near infested plants. Yes l forgot about the Butterworts plant. So true it's a great plant against fungus gnats. I might have to do a second video with other plants included. Thanks for your interesting comment. I always like to hear other people's suggestions and opinions. Happy Gardening ❤️

Hi Jazzy, If your plant nurseries don't sell them you could try online like etsy or even facebook plant groups. Happy Gardening ❤️

I am new to growing food and unsure if fungus gnats are an issue. Something is making a spider web like thing over new plants on my sealed porch under grow lights and they are dying. Something ate all the leaves of my tiny tomato seedlings and now my sweet potato slips are dying.

Hi Its hard to tell exactly what is effecting your plants as alot of things eat plants catapillars, slugs and snails. The spider Wed might be from spider mites which are ting insects that creates a cob Web if the plant is infested. I would spray with water that contains 10% neem oil, 10% diswashing solution. Just make sure the plant is not placed in direct sunlight or the leaves will burn. Hope that helps. Happy Gardening ❤️
