Had this happened to us, but after about 23 kegs and sinking their ship 3 times, they either gave up or left the server. These bots need the hacks cause they would be hopeless without them.

I’ve only experienced a cheater once. They didn’t have any tp hacks or anything too blatant but me and my full galleon would constantly get one shot by the same dude. He never missed and never reloaded his gun

Watching this reminds me of the time my duo partner and I ended up coming across a solo hacker organically in Adventure Mode. We were on Asian servers (I'm in Hawaii, he's in Japan) and we came across a Reaper 1 just sitting NE of Galleon's Grave. Given that we were Athena, we decided to sink him for the Flag. Cue him retaliating minutes later to just keep spawning kegs on top of us. First time I ever came across an actual cheater too. Luckily kept our ship afloat the whole time. A shame that people think they need to have cheats on to have fun. That may be true in Solo games, but not so much in multiplayer games like SoT

I'm so glad we don't really have this problem on console. Cheaters amuck is precisely why I disable crossplay

This happened to me and my duo, (We normally get ruined, but once the same thing. We'd stand back and front and theyd be so garbage at actual combat theyd just repeatedly die till they drive out the circle and blow themselves out. Agreed. Best feeling ever. Rare needs to do something about this. The saddest part is, they'll ban the Microsoft account and the majority of the cheaters are using Steam version and just create a new MS account to play again.

I got a cheater over a month ago, legit one of the last times I played other then monkey island, I was doing animal runs for legendary merchant of fauna (Athena Commendation) as I turned in at port Merrick, I saw a brig on the other side full demasted, I went over there one of them on the brig was telling me they was getting spawntrapped by a guy in blue that was apparently cheating, I went over to there boat I died, the cheater noticed I was there after he killed me, he then teleported to my boat started spawn trapping me too, I killed him a few times, he then came back and sunk me with kegs, crazier part is I spawn across the map at smugglers bay, dude was at my ship right once I spawned back i, I started talking to him because he was just standing at the front of my boat,he then told me he's in college, just started his classes not even a 2 weeks ago, he said he made the cheats in 3 days with his college buddy for fun one day because he got bored, tbh that's just sad someone with basic knowledge can create cheats on your game that's been out for years like c'mon sea of thieves, do better

I do not understand why people cheat. Most people I've met who cheat were either kids who have never been told no or adults who have also never been told no

The biggest thing I found that gets a rise out of them is to laugh at them for how unoriginal they are. For some reason it drives them nuts and they pipe up hard after that.

Sank a couple hackers, but have also been sank to hackers, super frustrating to lose to them. Especially when they have multiple cheats, aimbot, cannon aim, teleport kegs, etc.

what always makes me happy about seeing little kids use this stuff is that they dont think far enough, they get most of the time banned and need a new account and also most of those have some nasty rootkits or keylogger shipping with them so yeah if he used his moms creditcard there might be some more charges than he thinks

Fought some cannon aimbot keg droppers similar to these nerds the other day except of was two of em boosting one guy on a brig. They had wedged their ship into the middle of golden sands so that even if they got shot, they didnt take much water (their ship didnt despawn either for like an hour even tho they were basically on land). We found a spot where they couldn't hit us with cannons, and they couldn't kill us with kegs, so they decided to try and pull out, and we OUT BROADED THEM WHILE THEY HAD CANNON AIMBOT AND SANK THEM. Top tier moment on sot man, always satisfying to sink these idiots🙌🙌
