Good catch on the board, yeah they need to have a protection on those pricey boards-Old school skater back in the day. Hey yeah one of our two story mall stores here in Albq are empty as well, Such a waste of a building. Rock on man!!

I had a Gravity Board back in the early 00's. Starting feeling nostalgic the other day and looked into getting a new longboard. Decided to check out Zumiez at the local mall and the Nightfox caught my eye. Haven't hopped on a board in any capacity in years. Feet felt right at home on this board. Happy to see someone who's "in the know" recommending this board as well. Definitely satisfied with my purchase.

Which wheels are those? The ones on some videos are the smaller white ones
@Red1676
@Red1676 3 года назад
Its because it came with softer cruiser bushings. Use the bushing calculator and get the proper bushings. You don't want bushings as tight as they go either, the proper bushings will be your happy medium. Now if street skating, doesn't matter too much as it can be used for that too. All landyachtz are handmade, so in small town canada, it happens. Look up their story sometime. As for plastic stuff, people only use the rails, but mostly for better grinds. Skateboards are made way better now compared to older boards, even though skaters are now way harder on their boards compared to then. The tail and nose plates aren't used because nose, tail, and blunt slides. The truck guards aren't needed because trucks slide better and people don't need to worry about coping as much. So some companies now use different materials when pressing boards. I do like the old boards too, but to seriously skate them, id take the landyachtz or reissue deck anyday over the old. Its like old car vs new. The old might seem more solid, but crash tests prove otherwise. Saying such this like that is ignorance to the progression of the skate industry. Plus again, landyachtz is one of the last few companies that manufacture in America (Canada is North America), not only did they give a dieing town a bunch of jobs, they are messing with new technologies thats actually kinda crazy. That other setup was made for it to be a toy in mind.
@NoNonsenseKnowHow
@NoNonsenseKnowHow 3 года назад
I'm guessing you didn't watch the video if you think the board wasn't effective. Lol. Go watch it and then let me know your thoughts
@Red1676
@Red1676 3 года назад
@@NoNonsenseKnowHow read my message again. Also, if there is ever defect in them, landyachtz will replace. I had to change as I forgot zumiez buys defective boards and never checks when they get them. Friend owns a skateshop, the amount of decks he get that usually have issues from shipping or bad press, is crazy. There is more of a demand for skate decks than ever. Next time you go in a Zumiez, look at a couple of their decks, you will find warped decks. Why local shops are better. And yes, this has always been a issue in skating. No, you don't need wells for everything, with the right bushings, you can get them to a good spot where you don't get bite but don't need to tighten to point they blow out.
@NoNonsenseKnowHow
@NoNonsenseKnowHow 3 года назад
If there are wells in the board. They should be located properly. They exchanged the board for me no problem. Because the board was defective. As the title states. Has nothing to do with bushings. The wheel bite was not occurring because of bushings.
@CoolPupGaming

at 4:39, where can you get protection like that for boards? I found board rails for the sides but haven't found stuff for the front and back. My santa cruz 80s cruiser already has lots of wear on tail and bit on nose and only trick i do are manuals lol.

You just need tighter after-market bushings. Wheel bite is not a problem with the manufacturer, it’s a setup issue. You could also get bigger risers

@@NoNonsenseKnowHow yeah I know it’s a faulty board, I’m just saying that if he’s getting wheel bite, that 1/4 inch or 1/8 inch that the wheel wells give isn’t gonna fix a ton. If he’s getting wheel bite frequently enough to where it’s that invasive of a problem, then he needs to change his setup a bit
