Right?! Sphear is honestly one of my favorite orbs in the game.

I love Tom but his degenerate decision making in Peglin drives me up the wall sometimes.

Glad he _finally_ gave it the Level 3 Upgrade before the end.

It's great on the Roundrel because it can debuff multiple targets at once. Pair it with the relic that forces Bramble and Blind, and holy hell can a few Sphears tear through anything that moves.

Let's look at the *real* wordplay being done here first to show why: The names are just a convenient portmanteau of the power mixed with a letter overlap of something orb-like: "Sphear" (Spear/Sphere), Pebball (Pebble/Ball), Bouldorb (Boulder/Orb), "Ballwark" (Ball/Bullwark), "Spinfection" (Spin/Infection), & "Muscircle" (Muscle/Circle). Those all match that base name scheme design pattern without ANY additional external reference whatsoever. Now when you have something in the game like the "Angry Tomahawk" that doesn't match the core ability+round portmanteau pattern, it's easier to make a well-founded hypothesis that it's an intentional "Angory Tom" reference pulling that external reference as a primary source for the joke. That's not the case with Muscircle. There's nothing about the katana-wielding, fedora-tipping _“M'lady.”_ meme that's about body building or physical strength that seems to have been ANY inspiration to that power being named "Muscircle." Instead, that correlation seems to be *_solely_* spreading as an emergent quality from people pronouncing it when speaking rather than an intrinsic one for how it's written. So _that's not _*_literally_*_ what the joke is - even if it's what the main joke gradually becomes over time._ Be careful about attempting to correct people before you know what you're talking about, but _especially_ when you're doing so in a needlessly condescending tone.

Especially for those (cursed) runs when you don't get an Overwhammer, a levelled up Sphear is sure better than nothing!

Yeah, even before the Balladin got buffed with the new passive, I thought he was a stronger character than the Roundrel just because he started with a Sphear instead of a Daggorb. That extra pierce is so useful for 2/3 act 1 elites, 1/2 act one bosses, essentially every basic fight and especially in the castle. Does kinda suck if you get early minotaur tho.

@@KerryBenton You shouldn't rely on getting overwhammer or you're asking to lose, it's a blessing more than not having it is a curse.
