I personally really like the scripted bits, I usually try to play Helm's Deep mission the same way it was in the movie so really love this

It shows that the Deeping Wall will be overrun when too many Uruks are on the wall... You have to keep the amount of Uruks on the wall to a minimum. That's why it keeps showing up. It's not bugged...

I thing the AOTR campaign is absolutely amazing experience. It's much more immersive than the original BFME campaign. And much more difficult but thanks to that the satisfaction of beating it is very high. And this Helm's Deep mission is a masterclass.

Imo the Age of the Ring is the best mod ever created for BfME2

There's lots of lines from Two Towers-game from Ps2 here. They got the actors to play their parts and it sounds as good here as it did on ps2, so nostalgic

If you don’t know, the dismounted guy in the end is Erkenbrand. In the books he, not eomer came to rescue helms deep. Eomer was actually at helms deep the whole time. :)

These games should be way more appreciated, people don´t know what a good game means any more

Hi Shanks, I have a challenge for you, if you accept it. In BFME 1 you have to play only with the elven army (Rohan faction) which includes: elven archers (also swordsmen), Ents; Legolas and Treebeard as heroes. From the buildings you can build everything except the Rohan Stables. Also, you have to buy Yeomen Archers, to improve archery range, but you have to sacrifice them right away (don't attack with them or use them for scouting). If you start with peasants, you also have to sacrifice them, without scouting. If it is too difficult, you can also buy Aragon as a hero, because he lived with elves. Of the spells, you can only use elven spells: Healing, Elven Wood, Summoning Elven Allies, Cloud Breaking and Summoning Ent Allies. If you use Aragon, you can buy from spells - Anduril, because Elrond forged it, but not Army of the Death (from Aragon also). You can buy all upgrades for elven warriors (fire arrows ...) You can choose how many enemies you want to fight, but not less than 5 (that means, fields with 6 or 8 players), but they can only be Mordor or Isengard on Hard.

Haldir is being attacked by lvl 10 manslayers which shred him and are the strongest isengard units here (they climb the hornburg wall as well). You have to save a heal or have aragorn ready to run right to him in order to save him especially on the hardest setting. Also I believe the ladders and rams have intentional small hit boxes so it makes them harder to target.. a nice if annoying touch

1:23 I remember in BFME, in the campaign they give you like 2-3 squads of elven warriors. I'm like WAIT in the movie they get a huge group. I'm glad they gave you more elves in this version

Legolas train archers is op in aotr so always bunch up your archers and use it whenever it's off cooldown especially the elven archers they are the highest dps Archer in the game but quite squishy and they can also switch to swords

@BeyondStandarts maybe I am late, but to rescue Haldir, you need to run on the wall right in the time, when aragorn screams retreat, and you must have e heal ability, if you are anyways late. You need to know timings and use microcontrol. And yes, I rescued him, and can send you saving right in the time, when i sent him to retreat to the fortress

How do you select the proper position of your batalions? Like to put them on horizontal on the wall for example.
