Well, just to be balanced here, the scenarios gets to be, some people who come have sincerity, they really want to seek the truth. But some people come to just to debate and have lengthy talks and push their falsehood believes, they don't really want to change. People are a whole bunch of mix. We will never trully know exactly, but we are shown signs, right? Which we pickup, and it becomes our input to decide our next courses of action. This is the firasat. Especially the syaikh, has his time on the streets with people, he has his knowledge and experience. In the end, the job is to deliver the message (which was done). It is not to win every debate, to to convince people on the spot 100% of the time. Hidayah is from Allah, maybe he will get hidayah in the future, maybe he will think about it again, and sees the truth... nobody knows. Do we have to be kind? Yes of course, have good adab and akhlaq. But you don't have to always have to leave a sweet impression on everybody if you can't, if it means selling out or diluting the values of the deen to please another person. Leave impression that we are firm on our deen. And everybody has short comings, no doubt my brother. But standing firm is the safest decision, it shows we are trully hold on to the rope of this deen and fearing Allah. Barakallahu fiikum wa jazaakumullahu khairan.
