@@EddyBasch moral clarity won't be much use if Israel tries to expel some 4 million Palestinian Arabs. The Arabs will unite and the West won't support you. If you think, "fine the gentiles have never support it" then just take a minute to consider the fate of the Kurds who have no proper outside support or the Armenians (who Israel discracefully betrayed by selling drones to the Turkish genocidal Azeris) who also never got west (or any other) support to defend the Armenians of Nagorno-Karabakh or in the 1915 Genocide. States, big and small, need allies.

They would say there's more moderate Muslims blah blah blah. Why does it even matter why they believe Jews shouldn't have a state? It only matters that they don't. Palestinian nationalism based on religious ideology can never accept a Jewish State and the entire false Palestinian identity is predicated on this premise. Based on the fact that this cultural/religious perspective is foundational to the Palestinian (false) identity and that 'Palestine' as a state, country or self governing entity never existed, in addition to the fact that the entire Palestine identity narrative is a false one, it is not wrong for Israelis to claim Judea and Samaria as part and parcel of the ancestral Jewish homeland. Once this false narrative of a Palestinian identity is finally dismantled it could be possible to have so called Palestinian Arabs living in Israel proper as a demilitarized cultural entity.

When you have more time for adding context, it's important to recognize Jewish refugee contributions to Arab families in the region in the decades before Israel. Eradication of the deadly scourge of malaria in the region and thereby creating new habitable land that did not previously exist, more land for both Arabs and Jews. Also, unless I'm mistaken, Arab Muslim support for multiculturalism from notable Arab clan leaders like Nashashibi .. who were terrorized and assassinated by hostile Arabs like Al-Husseini. But also violent Arab hostility to the Jewish presence in the area when they were a small weak defenseless population and not in any sense a threat to Arabs, other than Arab racism and the Islamic requirement to dominate or destroy infidels, especially Jews.

Einat is great at points where she has grown up and away from her leftist euphoria. But she has a lot more growing up to do. With regard to Islam, to Arab rulers and people, and to the future of Palestinian identity. And, frankly, to human nature. Still too much hope, too much optimism. Also, no mention at all of those Jews who did listen to the other side and were not swept away into the peace euphoria. And were demonized as conservatives, "settlers" (even if they lived in Tel Aviv), "religious fanatics" (even if they were not religious), "war mongers," etc. etc. They turned out to be right, and nobody gives them any credit.
Ms. Wilf, let's take your realization to the full extent. If Israel ceased to exist, Eygpt, Syria and Jordan would never, ever allow an independent Palestinian state to survive. Egypt would reoccupy Gaza, Syria would take back the Golan heights and much of the adjacent territory, and Jordan would become Transjordan and, for sure, would grab back Jerusalem, the west bank and the rest of Israel from the "river to the sea".
