Ancient Egypt was a civilization of ancient Northeast Africa. It was concentrated along the lower reaches of the Nile River, situated in the place that is now the country Egypt. Ancient Egyptian civilization followed prehistoric Egypt and coalesced around 3100 BC (according to conventional Egyptian chronology)[1] with the political unification of Upper and Lower Egypt under Menes (often identified with Narmer).[2] The history of ancient Egypt unfolded as a series of stable kingdoms interspersed by periods of relative instability known as “Intermediate Periods.” The various kingdoms fall into one of three categories: the Old Kingdom of the Early Bronze Age, the Middle Kingdom of the Middle Bronze Age, or the New Kingdom of the Late Bronze Age.

The Gulf War was an armed conflict between Iraq and a 42-country coalition led by the United States. The coalition's efforts against Iraq were carried out in two key phases: Operation Desert Shield, which marked the military buildup from August 1990 to January 1991; and Operation Desert Storm, which began with the aerial bombing campaign against Iraq on 17 January 1991 and came to a close with the American-led liberation of Kuwait on 28 February 1991.

2 important things to mention: Palestinians aren't Philistines, while the Philistines were a Greek tribe the Palestinians are Arabs aka originated in Saudi Arabia. Secondly, the name Palestine was originally Philistia and it was given to the land of Israel after the defeating of the Bar Kohkva revolt in the 2nd century as a way to mock the Jews as the name Philistia as you might have already guessed is derived from the Philistines who were one of the biblical enemies of the Israelites (Jews). At the time of the Ottoman empire the land wasn't called "Palestine" but it was ruled under the governing of the Egyptian region of the Ottoman empire, after the Brits conquered the land of Israel they called both Jordan and Israel "the British mandate of Palestine (or Palestina) א"י, א"י means the land of Israel (ארץ ישראל in Hebrew). Most Arab nations in fact banned the Jews from leaving to not strengthen Israel, they may have faced discrimination, but they were not exiles. This video contains numerous lies and inaccuracies: The territory was never referred to as Palestine by the Ottomans; it was called South Syria. The Palestinian flag was only invented in the 1960s. No mention is made of the Husseini family's affiliation with Hitler. There is no mention of the numerous massacres of Jews by Arabs under the British mandate. No mention of the persecution of Jews in Arab states other than Iraq and Yemen and their ethnic cleansing. The terrorists who killed the Olympians are referred to as a commando squad? The video downplays the raids and massacres of Jews by Arabs during the War of Independence but emphasizes the Deir Yassin incident. It fails to mention Arafat's KGB connection. There is no mention that Israel and the international community left civilian infrastructure in Gaza for the Palestinians to use, but the video stresses the destruction after Hamas attacks. Palestinians are casually referred to as refugees three generations after the war. Are the Germans expelled from Czechia and France after WWII still considered refugees? There is no mention of Hamas being an Iranian proxy organization spreading radical Islam and aiming to commit genocide against all Jews. This video is, at best, a very mediocre historical account and, in fact, extremely biased and full of lies.

The fact that Arab countries are unwilling to intergrate the Palestinians and keep naming their towns of residence 'refugee camps' tells you all you need to know for how the conflict is kept alive. This is a somewhat biased video.. there is supposedly a basic summary of Jewish history but no mention of constant Jewish presence in the holy land and the many Jewish attempts to return to it throught history. Jews in the holy land were central to Jewish life as is obvious from the great importance of many works from the area - the Mishnah (3rd century) Jerusalem Talmud (5th century), the work of the Tiberian Masorah (10th century), Shulchan Aruch (16th century), Lurianic Kabbalah (17th century), and many more. Jews in diaspora constantly tried to return to the holy land, such as the Jewish revolt against Gaius in the 4th century and against Heraclius in the 7th century which both led to Jews in the holy land being massacred and expelled. Until being massacred and expelled by the christian crusaders in the 11th and 12th centuries, Jews were likely a majority of the population, especially in the north of what is now Israel. After the Christians were defeated Jews continued moving back, such as in the Tosafist Aliyah (13th century), and the vilna gaon aliyah (17th century) and many of the most important Jewish writers and thinkers of the time worked or moved to the area, such as Nachmanides, Maimonides and R. Yehuda Halevi among others. Jews might have still been a majority in the region until increased arab immigration in the 18th-19th century, after which there was increased Jewish immigration in the 19th and 20th century. The video, as many people do, began with this, ignoring over a millenia of Jewish presence and constant attempts at returning to the land, as if 19th century zionism was some revolutionary moment, which it was not. It just enjoyed more success than previous movements. The video rightfully mentions Jewish terrorism, singling out the King David Hotel bombing and the Deir Yassin massacre, which were indeed horrific and consequential, and therefore worth noting, but fails to mentions years of Arab terrorism which directly or indirectly led to these attacks, such as the riots in 1920-1921, in 1929, in 1936-1939 and the attacks in 1947-1948 in which thousands of Jews were murdered, such as in the Hadassah Convoy attack and many many others. The video mentions that Israel refused to accept the 2002 peace plan but not that Arab countries refused that same exact plan in resolution 242 in 1967. Ariel Sharon visiting the temple mount was not a significant provocation, as hundreds of Jews go there every day. It was an excuse by Arafat to launch terrorist attacks on Israel (the second intifada). The video mentions the terrorist attacks but does not mention any of them, such as the massacre at Park Hotel killing 30 jews at a passover seder, which led to the subsequent invasion of the West Bank. The video also declines to mention that of the Palestinians killed in the current conflict, between a third and half were armed combatants of terrorist groups. This is not as biased a video as many of the ones you can find, so at least there's that. But omitting important facts can still paint a false version of events. The many questionable decisions made in this video to include or not include various events make clear that the creator is not familiar enough with the topic to genuinely speak authoritatively about it.

The UNRWA - again, remember they only work with Palestinians - considers that refugee status to continue down through the generations until the conflict is resolved and works to aid Palestinians where they are until that point, not resettle. From there, reasonable people could debate which approach is better or more effective at helping people fleeing conflict or persecution. The UNRWA's approach has unnecessarily perpetuated the Palestinian-Israeli conflict by keeping alive the possibility of return to a land they no longer inhabit and have not lived on in their lifetimes or, in some cases, their parent's lifetimes. No other refugee group is allowed this fiction. The UNHCR has assisted others in building new lives elsewhere in diaspora. For this reason and a host of others, the UNRWA should be disbanded and the care and aid of the Palestinian refugees passed to the UNHCR. The Gaza residents who have been displaced by this current war are refugees, but from today's conflict not 1948. They deserve help and aid in both survival and resettlement (should they choose it).” Also keep in mind, some Arab countries don’t even allow Palestinians to achieve citizenship.
@effix9097
@effix9097 14 дней назад
@firstnamelastname6976 No, it is true. It’s why there’s two UN refugee organizations: one for >95% of refugees, and one for Palestinians. A Vietnamese refugee who comes to America and has kids does not give birth to refugees, she gives birth to Americans. Meanwhile, there are hundreds of thousands of Palestinians who are the children, grandchildren, even great-grandchildren of those expelled to Gaza and the West Bank during the Nakba who were born refugees and whose future children will also be born refugees.

Except that it is a bad analogy. Historians have yet to catch up on the Biblical narrative due to the lack of archaeological findings, but over time, when new discoveries were made, historians slowly RELUCTANTLY concede to the Biblical narrative. For example, historians denied the existence of the Hittites even though it is in the Bible, but today, they accept it as historical.
@ffreeze9924
@ffreeze9924 7 дней назад
@@retrictumrectus1010the field of archaeology was invented in order to validate the biblical narrative. Really the bias has always been in favor of the Bible until archaeologists failed to find evidence to support the exodus and the world flood. The later parts of the Old Testament are generally regarded as historical, save some embellishments, so I’m not sure what you mean about historians denying the existence of the Hittites due to them being mentioned in the Bible, because as far as I know historians weren’t reluctantly conceding to the biblical narrative but rather using it as a starting point and believing its claims when they could find evidence to support them

I think it depends on the amount of information someone knows. Those who are in favor of Palestine knows more information that favors the Palestinian narrative. Those who are in favor of Israel knows more information that favors the Israeli narrative. The video missed out many of the things from both sides. If the video fails to mention what they already know, it means the video is biased against their position. That's what I realized after watching the video. I know some pro-Palestine info and plenty of pro-Israel info that were not mentioned. I have a pro-Israel bias because I hate Islam and Marxist Communism and that's why I know more information that favors the Israeli narrative than the Palestinian narrative.

This channel has the word History in it's title, though the history given here is lacking at best. There's so much information missing or skewed from the truth, and I get it, this is a vast subject which is almost impossible to cover in a 30 min video. But with that, one must understand that telling half truths is worse than lying. more than that the choice of words in this video is highly tendentious.

The only notes I felt compelled to make were that at 19:30 there were also Jews from Morocco, Iran, etc. to a total of more than 500,000 that came to Israel. Also, the negotiations at 26:40 didn't merely "fall apart", implied to be by mutual stubbornness. Israel offered Palestinians a state in more than 95% of the West Bank, all of Gaza, and 30 billions dollars in reparations. No counter offer was made, an plans for another intifada were made and eventually acted on.
