This was such an interesting concept, both just the base idea of getting to be a curious eldritch being gently poking at this human we’re not understanding, and then the whole mystery of why he did survive. I got genuinely invested in this little anomaly

I (like many other people in these comments) am a huge fan of Eldritch creatures. As a writer, I’ve always enjoyed the challenge of using them as a subject since a huge part is that they are incomprehensible. I love what you did here with that, as well as flipping it in a way with how we as the creature are also striving to understand Eric.

Damn, I'm less than a third into this and I wanna explain what happened to the best of my ability But if I'm interpreting it correctly, what happened is kinda like me watching something downloaded to a device, when suddenly the file gets nuked off said device save for like a small fistful of pixels from a single frame of the video? Or rather, if I were watching something on a streaming platform, but they delete that show from it and somehow a single frame of the show somehow by the grace of the knowable and unknowable survives in a sense, dropped directly into my front room?
