OMG I tried this today. My hair takes too long if I'm doing the finger coils and i just don't like spending that much time in my hair. Came across this video and decided tonight I would give it a try. Wow. Not only did it only take a few mins. My curls were popping! i like this more than the coils and it's gonna be my go to! Only difference I used my comb I just couldn't manipulate my brush the way you did. Clumsy I guess LOL. But thank you.

I LOVE this style. How do you maintain the style? Do you use a bonnet, etc?

Nothing has been working lately. I’m gonna try this and come back to comment my results… *UPDATE* This method created a million individual spiral curls with shrinkage instead of sectioned curls that I could separate. 😂 No matter how much I flipped my denman brush and no matter how many times I tried. I think I have to press my hair in order to relax my curl. Otherwise, it’s just doing what it always does when I add products. I think I’m about to loc my hair y’all. 😂💜

Hi this is the first time I'm making a comment. I've just subbed and clicked. I have very short hair; shorter than yours! Lol This is due to having chopped off my 62 cm/ 2ft long locs and straight away...straight away dragging a comb through it! My hair had not seen a comb for 8 years! Then suddenly, my scalp has this comb going through it, so of course, my hair just went into SHOCK!! Sunddely my hair just started to fall out (traction alopecia) I think that is the name for what happened to me, so with that, I didn't go into a deep depression I decided to just start working on getting my hair back. It has taken a year and a half for my hair follicles to come alive! This took head massaging almost every day and night, MSM with vitamin powder drinks, 2 litres of water every day, a home made herb and oil infused hair oil from a You Tuber, hair twists and alot of prayers and faith, but most of all...PATIENCE! Finally this year my hair is shifting and actually starting to grow! With that improvement, I have become excited about finally having enough hair to make some sort of hair style. This now brings me to you! What a beautiful short do! I love it! It's so cute! I definitely think l'ld like to give it a try! I think my hair type is very similar to yours; 4B - 4Cish, so I'm hoping I get a good result just like you. Your make up is beautiful, but it's far too much work and expense for me so I'll just have to admire your beautiful work from a far.

my edges do not lay...can they be too thick? Even after tying a scarf once I walk outside poof! and I've tried various edge control products and gels.

Just cut my hair AWF. But for my sis to so could for me. 1. I don’t like sitting that long anymore for hair, that’s why I cut it and 2. I can’t and don’t want to maintain coils, again, that’s why I cut my hair. But I didn’t was a baldy or ceasar so this will do the trick!! This’ll absolutely gorgeous on you! I can’t wait to try it!!

I cut the rest of my relaxed hair off 4 weeks ago. I’ve been using my denman brush to help me define my curls. After watching your tutorial, I discovered that I was using the brush wrong.
