Girl,when I'm alone with you
I get a feelin' through and through
Tellin' me that love is comin' on
My head starts spinnin' round and round
And I don't care what's up or down
Cause deep in my soul, I'm out of control
When I start to hear the sound of
CHORUS :
A heartbeat, it's a lovebeat
And a lovebeat is a good vibration
Oh, a heartbeat is a lovebeat
And when we meet , it's a good sensation
Listen to my heart pound
Listen to my love sound
Feel it gettin' stronger
Can't hold back any longer
Heartbeat, it's a lovebeat
And a lovebeat is a good vibration
Oh a heartbeat it's a lovebeat
And when we meet, it's a good sensation
Listen
Pictures pass before my eyes
Like a vision in disguise
Tryin' to explain the way I feel
And there's a movement in my mind
Like a rhythm counting time
Breakin' down all my defenses
Overcomin' all of my senses
Listen to my heart pound
Listen to my love sound
Temp'rature is risin'
Girl, there's no disguisin'

Don't get me wrong. I love the 70's, but the song is pretty lame, they can hardly dance, and the guy on the right has no rhythm at all.

@@SimirJohnson A nightmare . He was my neighbour growing up , he and his family were okay , not bad people and they did without some things and they worked at music . Many of us thought , they went at it the wrong way , they grabbed a fast pay day . Maybe if they tried something else , it would have not worked at all , at least they did something with their lives . Ed what have you done? The funny thing is I do not find Paul or Ringo on here or Cher , Madonna , Led Zeppelin making nasty remarks ,it is always the people , that have not , that say the most negative things.

I'm just a little older than that. (Born in 1956)...I remember seeing The Beatles on the Ed Sullivan Show. Where I lived, Album Oriented Rock stations were just getting up and running. The big Top 40 stations in Pittsburgh were 1410 KQV (now defunct...sigh) and 1320 WKTQ (also known as 13Q, it's now a Music of Your Life Station...double sigh). And you had to learn where the "big hit" stations from other cities were, because KQV and 13Q had to cut back their power at sundown, and their signal evaporated. Ah, memories.

And suddenly I’m 11 years old again…I’ll never forget the first time I heard this song. A girl brought it to school and played it at a party we were having in French class. I loved it from the first time we heard it! We played it over and over and over…and I remember them appearing on this show, i recorded it on my tape recorder! I bet if I went through my old cassette tapes I’d find it! They also performed AbraCa Dabra , loved that one too. I remember buying all the Tiger Beat mags; Tony was always in it! Such a fun time to be a kid❤️

This is such a good song! Sad, they don't make music like this anymore. So pure and innocent. I hate the music that we have nowadays. I may have been born in the 90s, but music before my time knew what respect was. That's why I'll always stick to this kind of music.

I am from this era, and while watching this video it's true that I am reminded of just how cheesy the 70s could get, there is something more powerful going on. Listening to this song now, I am transported back to a time that I might never really be able to re-live otherwise. Magical, innocent, glorious (of course, I'm talking about my 11 year old appreciation of it. Your own experience may differ, and that's fine). This is the power of music: its ability to carry us effortlessly from where we are to where we used to be. Arguments about who is better or who imitated whom or whatever, are completely irrelevant. If, 40 years from now, my young son hears a cheesy pop ballad from 2015 and is overcome by a wave of nostalgia for some mythic moment in his own personal timeline, then it doesn't matter if it's Justin Bieber or the greatest musician the world has ever known. In the moment of remembrance, every song is our favourite song. This is true in every era and for every generation.

It's how the brain works. Your memory imprints from a younger age stays imprinted for far longer. Last memories into your brain at an older age are the first to go. First memories are the last to leave the brain. An easy way to describe is: last in/first out & first in/last out

Actually Canada had a lot of excellent pop artists in the 1970s. besides Defranco Family, there The Poppy Family, Terry Jack's, Edward Bear, Anne Murray, Neil Young, Gordon Lightfoot, Wednesday, Keith Hampshire, Gary and Dave plus many more. I used to listen to Canadian radio station CKLW last AT night from my home in Queens NY it was a amazing radio station. But now Canada gives us horrible rap artists Drake yuck.

Don't you even get me started on the phenomenal coordinated costumes and impeccable hairstyles! Everything about this song and the video performance exudes absolute 70's delight. This is the kind of song I hope to introduce to future generations to carry on the legacy of the DeFranco Family and their unforgettable catchy song selection.
