When this Deftones marathon is ending? Because there are so many Deftones good songs yet to react to like Lhabia, Battle Axe, Deatblow, Poltergeist, Risk, Diamond Eyes, Tempest, Rocket Skates, Leathers, Phantom Bride, No Ordinary Love...
One of the reasons I've loved the Deftones from the very beginning...and the reason it grew stronger as time passed... is because they are borderless...genres are shackles...and they feel free to do whatever P.S. PTA is the MASTER!
The fact that the last minute of the track made it onto the finished album just showed how little the band cared about it and wanted to put this period behind them. The last minute is clipped off on the edited version though. I do like the song otherwise though and I like Annie Hardy from the band Giant Drag's voice on the track. Interesting note, this track was originally meant to be a collaboration between Chino and HR from the legendary band and huge Deftones influence Bad Brains but it ultimately was not used. A demo does exist with HR's vocals though and it is floating around out there to listen to.
@@morganhayes1589 Bad Brains are the best! Here is the demo entitled "Pink Challice" in case anyone wants to hear it ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-9kM6iFsfwig.html
Yeah so many Like Linus,Teething(the Crow 2),Fireal,Birthmark,Lotion,Head up f. Max,Rickets,Battle-Axe,Lucky You,Rocket Skates,Prince,Romantic dreams,Tempest,Rubicon,If only Tonight we can Sleep live The Cure Icon. Leathers, and Bored
I'm probably the only one that really digs this song. Whenever I'm spinning SNW, this always gets it's playtime. The ending is obviously shwag but the song is catchy as F, love the melodic flow
OK, who picked this one? They trollin, Jersh. Actual don't forget this list: Prayers/Triangles, Phantom Bride, Risk, Tempest, Battle-axe, Diamond Eyes, Leathers, Entombed. About covers you.
it was definitely requested by multiple people i had it on my don't miss list because of that, so people either actually do like it or a lot of people just thought it would be funny to see my reaction to the end haha
@@SuperJersh definitely going to go w/ that they wanted to see your reaction, can't imagine many genuinely enjoy it, not really a Deftones' song but a computer making sounds with a girl speaking over it
Speaking of movies, when you get the giggles, it reminds me of Emilio Estevez's Billy the Kid in Young Guns. Been so long since I have seen that movie, I am not even sure if it's close, but it keeps springing to mind. Regardless, enjoy the takes. Keep them coming. If I can make one request, it would be Tempest. One of my faves and I think one you would like.
Deathblow from their self titled album is a must! Also Combat from Saturday Night Wrist. And the cover of No Ordinary Love by Sade! And Damone - the hidden track from Around The Fur...
As always, thank you for your reactions. Hope that DEFTONES / TOOL combo leads you to A PERFECT CIRCLE and PALMS. Chino Moreno lended vocals to the latter and the rest of the band is ex ISIS who disbanded after they gave all they had to give. Ofcourse, I would recommend ISIS also. Shame the name has such a tricky connotation these days. Cheers.
Aside from the last minute this song is absolutely hypnotic and I reckon fits in pretty well with the Deftones catalogue. Your face at 4:50 says it all. That combination of eastern throat-singing, synth and CHUNKY bass is sick, and a weird minute at the tail end of the track doesn't ruin that for me.
I hated this song so much when it first came out in 2006 I made my own edit with most of the chick’s singing/talking taken out that I to this day still have it in my SNW album. Only way to listen to it.
Ha ha, I think this more has to do with Chino and his side project team sleep making it’s way on to Deftones album instead. Like Lucky You, probably a song he liked so much he didn’t want to hold on to it for a Team Sleep album that may never get released.
😂Deftones is one of the only bands that I would say reading the lyrics actually takes away from the experience of most of the songs.😂Unless maybe you’re on a f*** ton of psychedelics. I love their music, but I have to admit their lyrics kinda suck. Most the time they are so crazy abstract. It just ends up coming off a little arrogant.
