I love Aloo Ghost. I call it ABC (Aloo, Boti, Chawwal). I usually do not cook Aloo with the meat. Instead, I fry them separately and add it at the end. It tastes better. What do you think? Love from the U.S.
You’re right Saadat bhai it does look like butter chicken. I saw my mother frying spices after onion is fried & removed from the pot( to grind with Yogurt separately) thereby taking care of strong smell of haldi. But you’re right everyone love their mothers cooking due to her love they received in childhood. No doubt people of U.P. love shorba, without it we can’t taste the food. 😀👌 Enjoying your excellent Urdu, from Karachi.

Meray mohtaram Bara Bakra agar der say castrated ho toa smell aagi. Bakara joban yaani RUT mein ho toa smell aaygi. SUB SAY BEHTAR CHOTA BAKRA LEIN. Magar yahan America mein chotay zaat kay bari umer kay bakray bhi aatay hein. Halal bakray ka gosht ziyadah tar New Zealand say aata hey.
I agree keep it simple, lal mirch, haldi, daniya powder, lassan. Thats all I use and get great results. When I feel fancy I use ginger and little bit of garam masala.

Well...I have tried the "kabadi "(as we call them here) ,but unfortunately unable to get the positive response...one of my Muslim friend told me that it's called as "Lagaan" & there is the possibility of getting this utensil in Moradabad, U.P....I m going to try it there,though this place is far away from me (1300km)....thanks for replying....

Chef Saadat, congrats! After many many years I hear alu gosht surba. It is still made at my place nowhere do I see them now it's all fusion food all around. I live in Bangladesh and believe me all these traditional food are getting lost. Would you bronging them back again as long as we are alive. Bohat sukriya.
No 1..tamater dalta ha alo gosht me No.2. Itni jaldi kya ha alo dalne ke ...gosht tu galne den .alo bechare ki kya hasiyat .gosht gal jae pher alo dalte ha .alo mea me dam hi kitna hu ta ha😊
I always follow the traditional recipes of my mother, all recipes their own specific spices even the cut of vegetables which give you an original taste of recipe.❤
I am 63, during my childhood people were simple and they ate delicious food, as a child I have eaten aloo shoora at weddings in Lahore, that tasted much better than the elaborate food we eat now days.

Great with Aloo, but alli should have been semi- fried before added, coz it's raw flavour will go, Anyway, alloo is definitely a must, even in Biriyani 👍👍👌👌

I love Aloo Ghosht and that too Ami’s Aloo Ghosht is the best and now I think I dont too bad at making it myself too aur sab say ziyada maza end par woh hai jab aap hatho say khathay hain tho uska maza its just best. Unfortunately not many people eat with their hands anymore but please i insist hatho say khao aur unglia chathay rahi gay lol
