Degrassi Junior High - Behind the Scenes - "Between Takes" - (Part 1 of 3) 

my favourite show as a kid. I was severely bullied in school and watching this show after school and so many other amazing Canadian shows....just made me feel so much better about how shitty my life was. I felt like this show and all these kids were my friends ...WHEN I had NO friends at all. I always had this show to turn too and it was my comfort.

I loved the original Degrassi as I grew up with it... The new one just isn't the same or maybe I am just older lol! Thanks for posting

As I watch the 80s show I honestly didn’t know it was a show when I first found it, it seems so natural and like they said they didn’t have a makeup crew, they did their own hair and makeup, makes it look more real. This show was so ahead of it’s time. I’d like to thank everyone this show is so good and I relate to it in some ways too

@angeepangeed3 Definitely - I would love to watch a reunion show with all the original Degrassi cast. Such a shame that Neil Hope won't ever be a part of it. RIP.

I loved this show as a kid and still love it. Fuck SBTB, this show was way better and way more realistic.

My favorite show growing up as a kid. After this ended then I got hooked on 90210. All where basically after school specials but still great shows. I just didn't like how they ended Degrassi. I think they could have made it a bit more positive then the way it was.

I absolutely salute this show and when my children are in middle school and high school so, we can have discussion about issues. The same issues back then are many of the issues today with the exception to the extreme with technology.

I remember when I was little I thought Degrassi was real school and these kids were real students

I kind of hate that I just now discovered the world of Degrassi, I mean yea I wasn’t born during this era or even when the new show came out but still it’s so good, way better than anything on tv even today. I’m becoming obsessed with the 80s show.

Many of these preteens are dealing with more issue with cyber bulling, sex texting, video taping with cell phone, no real personal contact because of the use of technology. As a teenager growing up this show was the best it help me understand so many situations at school.

Wish it was more like this now :)

...then Degrassi High was 3rd, and Degrassi The New Generation was 4th. This newest season is just called Degrassi, and the episode numbers started back to 1, so I think it might be the 5th.

@weirdscience85 Assorted "technicalities" regarding the "correct" defining of where one Degrassi show ends and the next begins, as well as whether or not "The Kids of Degrassi St. is or is not the "Pluto" of the DegrassiVerse, are not important enough to incite trivial arguments. Apparently it's a matter of opinion. BTW, I'm not uninformed, as u imply. I have DVD sets from multiple generations of Degrassi, and all but the latter half of "KoDS" which re-aired briefly on Nickelodeon in the 90s
