I had a huge crush on Amanda back in the day. My Saturday nights as a teen consisted of watching “Degrassi”, “Dr. Who”, and “Monty Python”. Good times.
i’m pretty sure the very last we hear is she is healthy after being in remission. but obviously she never returns to degrassi, lucy only records the video diaries for her.
You know it would of been cool if degrassi did one more season of degrassi high, schools out and then maybe two seasons of 😮 Degrassi university. Idk would of been cool if each episode was based on characters
I never missed an episode of Switchback here in Halifax. I went to a few tapings when Stan Johnson was the host also. Still have his autograph and "Mr Gorilla's" autograph. Neil was a cousin of an ex of mine. Rest in peace, Neil.
@@jaykaye7025 No, I never had the chance. I was already at sea by the time this episode of Switchback aired. I used to go to the tapings where Stan Johnson was the host. He basically vanished into obscurity and was drinking pretty heavily. Such a sad ending for a human being. What is even more sad is that his character's life mirrored his own with the parental alcohol abuse, and whatnot.
Amanda Cook says "I need to keep up with school or I'm out". Was that too hard when she got to high school? Because LD then did a few episodes, then she was in the hospital, so was featured a lot less. Then she was written out for the last season, saying that she went to "sail the islands" with her dad and would do correspondance courses. I thought it might've been interesting to have LD back in school, with much shorter hair as it was growing back, and dealing with the issues of re-building her immune system and how everyone learns from it. Especially Joey.......Maybe Wheels would've stayed on the straight and narrow then too
Plus it was pretty much her fault that Wheels got in the car in the first place. If I remember correctly, she convinced him to drive her to the store when she wasn’t under the influence and he *was*. Since she wasn’t, she should have been the reasonable one. But no. She was the one who *put the idea in his head in the first place*, convinced him, and allowed it to happen, and even got in the car with him. That whole movie ruined everything and was so badly written, but that was by far the stupidest part of it😃
I wouldn't say it was her fault, but codependent relationships can turn out that way. My nephew is a revovering addict, and his girlfriend tried the same thing ten years ago and the wreck put her in the hospital and he went to prison. Don't blame her, though, cause it straightened him out.
