For all the international students I recommend checking out Open University. I believe it is originally started in the UK and now there is universities all over the world such as Malaysia, New Zealand, Spain, Netherlands, etc
@@9monthcollegegrad-ryansway671 based on what I read it was 100% competency based but I believe you listed Phoenix University as a school that claims they are competency based but they cap how many classes you do in x amount of months. For cost wise I saw it ranging from $1500 USD a semester or year for Open University Maylasia for example and I think $4500 on the high end.
I regularly watch this channel passionately. I am married to a citizen from outside of the U.S. Sadly, scholarships for International students tend to finance on-campus tuition and rarely cover the majority of costs for attending college in the States. These colleges, like most, are glad to welcome international students as long as you can finance it on your own but may offer some sort of scholarship. This may not allow one to take a majority of courses in the hacking method suggested. If I am wrong, please describe how this may be done.
I completely agree. To be honest, there's not a perfect solution for International Students. Schools need to do better at providing more financial aid options to International Students. For some International Students, tuition alone is equivalent to Decades of Income. If you find any good solutions, please share and I'll gladly do a video on it.
Thank you for this video. I am probably an unusual viewer as I am from Germany who is fed up with his university program at home even though it is "free" I am thinking of using my current university program to land a paid internship / job and then taking some time off my current uni. In that time I would try competency based education with the money I earn. If that works well I'd quit my current degree for good. I am not sure if I am insane doing this but then again people in this world have been doing far more insane things. Here we have a very rule based and rigid system so if I told people about my thoughts they wouldn't think very highly of my plan
My greatest successes in life have come when I go against the "norm" and do things differently. If you follow the same path as "the crowd", you end up in the same situation as "the crowd". And unfortunately with college, that usually means lot's of debt... and many years to the finish line.
@@9monthcollegegrad-ryansway671 Yeah... In Germany there is usually no debt but the latter thing you mentioned. Taking many years... If you fail an exam you will have to retake the whole class in a year from then on unless you are always strict with yourself and never do a vacation when the retake exams are... In some degrees less than half of people manage to finish a 3 year bachelors in 4 years or less. Some people here take 6 years in quote on quote "difficult subjects" I want none of that and go at my own pace while getting experience. The ability to move elsewhere without having to drop out of my whole degree... I will try some Sophia courses soon

Online degrees can open the door for on campus Master's programs. You just need to make sure the Grad school you want to attend accepts degrees from the school you're wanting to attend for your undergrad.

University of the People stands out. It is the best University for both accelerated and cost. Firstly, at the University of the People you are not required to have sufficient fund before enrollment. Grant is usually offer for admission. Scholarships are also offer to all deserving students who can prove the need for the scholarship. Best performing students graduate less than three years. As it relates to accreditation, University of the People is Nationally accredited and it may be regionally accredited this year. These programs you claimed less expensive and regionally accredited are not on this video sir. Can you please share their links with me?

It's far more expensive here. But with my degree hacking tactics, getting your entire degree in under a year and funding school through scholarships is absolutely doable. For people unwilling to apply for scholarships, it should still be less than $10,000 at most (if done properly).

For people willing to apply for scholarships can study a full degree program at $0.00 cost at the University of the People (UoPeople). Additionally, if you study 70 credits per Term (2 months), then I wonder whether you can really master those things studied during that Short period.

I'm not an expert on International Scholarships, but local resources are fantastic. I'd give a local college a call and ask them what scholarships are available in your area.
I'd look at any school that offers flat rate tuition, then try to finish the degree as fast as possible. For International Students, UMPI's "Your Pace" programs might be a good fit.
@@maneetaah7730 University of the People is the cheapest also hackable. You can do saylor and Sophia courses then transfer the credits. By doing that, you will be able to graduate less than a year with very cheap cost because the only thing you have to pay is your proctor exam fees and credit transfer fees. Both combined per course may not exceed $30.00
