Thank you, Pastor Rich. I am going through a really hard time with someone I am romantically attached to. And it's been really hard for me and this series has been helping me get through it. I believe God has been talking to me through the messages you're sharing. It's still hard but I'm gonna get through it in Jesus' name.
Wow! Finding these single and secure sermons is exactly what I needed. After being through a divorce from an alcoholic and then a very rocky 3 year relationship which ended in betrayal, I had lost all hope. I am not used to being single as the last 15 years of my life I was in a marriage and then long term relationship. Now I am basking in my singleness and using it to BUILD something...my relationship with God. Thank you for these sermons.
Yes those 8 points are all current issues. The divorce not being finalized shouldn’t be a shock. I’ve seen quite a few men still married dating others while “separated” but living together. Settling for a man with a tattoo of a cross is eye opening! Ahhh!!

I am not dating or have a boyfriend, waiting on God's direction and Him to say, "Here he is, I will lead you to him. You don't have to play the game.". This message has helped me to continue to wait on God and not start to be dehydrated and start thinking, "he might be the one or yeh, but maybe...". No! No! I want my thirst to be quenched by Jesus! I don't need a guy for that and until I meet the man after God's own heart that He has for me, I shall wait. Thanks! Keep preaching the truth!👍🏆
Perfect timing! Jesus guided me to the teaching needed for my current struggle. It's embarrassing how much you reinterpret your faith to turn a worldy thirst into an acceptable Christian choice. These reminders will help everyone and anyone who wants better relationships. Even a non-believer will benefit from these practical approaches to living a good & productive single life. This is a very powerful message! I just noticed Pastor Rich using God's name in vain a few times. I know saying "O my God" is part of the way in which Americans speak, but it is still sinful to give into that bad habit.
1. Heal from the past - [ ] Good counsel taking inventory of my soul, being honest of where I’m at - [ ] Unresolved childhood issues (Father wounds) - [ ] Trust issues (forgiveness others, forgive ourselves, it’s a process 2. Prepare for my future - [ ] Vision of where you want to be with that person - [ ] Living in that manner now - [ ] Get out of debt - [ ] Dating should be investigation (what happens when you get angry, whats your dad or mum like? do you have debt?) - [ ] Build something on your own (education, character, friends, church, running their race, how jesus pick his ppl, be the one you desire, are you behaving in a manner that will be attractive for the person you’re looking for, are you the person you’re looking for, is looking for? I want someone passionate, stop being apathetic, ambitious stop being lazy, who makes me laugh, quit mopping around, someone attractive, go to gym, on fire for God, build something, what you project, others will reflect) - [ ] Establish healthy habits (butterflies will fly away, habits are involuntary behaviours, marriage only magnify what’s going on, expose what’s on the inside, good decisions, addictions, trauma, your decisions are impacting your future children)be wise in the present 3. Be wise in the present - [ ] Postpone the physicals (cover up other problems, forgiveness, conflict resolution, communication) - [ ] Don’t missionary date (fall in love with Jesus, dating some person who think you’re responsible to be their missionary, do not be unequally yoked with an unbeliever, easy to fall in love and butterflies, go to church doesn’t mean anything or you’re candidate for marriage, do we believe in jesus, are we strong together, do we have a mission, whats our life for, shared values, going through crisis and turbulence struggles, you need a partner we gonna pray, believe in that, love you from afar, without deepest intimacy in my life, hosea prophet married a prostitute Old Testament illustration god in the form of jesus coming and buying back the bride you and i, not an application to your dating life, fall in love w god who found us in our brokenness, truly fall in love not just thirsty, direct that person to God’s word, they really want you to be a christian, family trying to change somebody, find somebody who believe what you believe) - [ ] Deal with conflict (learn how to forgive and communicate, john chapter 4, pushed aside by society, jesus figures out a way to Samaria to the well in the middle of the day, wants to love her and meet her need, why 5 husband-thirsty, 7th man no. Of completion and perfection, living water, looking for validation in the wrong places, there’s a well that never run dry, jesus will you satisfy me, commenting look and see and like us, jesus is our only maker, we will never ever be dehydrated)
