They need to give us a build our own option- so sick of Sephora Same Faves.. the plush bags look cool. I’m not buying anything until I get my 20% off Sephora Fall sale- and if whatever isn’t stocked, their loss. I hate buying anything direct from Sephora b/c their samples suck and I’d far rather be directly enrolled in a brand’s reward program than Sephora’s!
That's an interesting idea - build your own set! Maybe pick 5 products from a selection? And include a voucher for $X dollars off any Sephora purchase. But, I'd think it would be hard for Sephora to price it so that they could make money on it.
I'd love to see a part 3 to this, Kelly! I've always appreciated how you've broken down the favorites kits and presented them really clearly like this video! ❤
I had to wait a few years to redeem the perfume voucher (misplaced voucher a and Covid). It was a few years. They stop carrying all but two perfumes. I didn’t like those scents. Don’t wait to redeem.
For the Charlotte Tilbury lip set, it’s a deal if you were on the fence about the shade. I almost invested in the full size of each product, but got this instead and it’s not the be all, end all that I thought it was going to be. Glad I just got the little set because I do like it, but don’t love it like I do the original Pillow Talk shade.
Over the summer, Ulta had a BOGO free sale on their minis. Unless you really want the particular colors in a gift set (or are splitting them up), that's really the best time to get them - if the brand is sold at Ulta. It doesn't help with Rare Beauty, Kosas, or LYS, I know!
YES to a part three of Sephora sets. I love buying sets because I don’t buy very much, buying the Sephora Favorites sets allows me to try a variety of products. I bought the Kosas set of three blushes for $30, I don’t have any and wanted to try these.
I feel like a unicorn because I’ve used up 2 full size rare beauty blushes 😂 grace and bliss. Although there was this point where I was super into cream and liquid makeup. I used them daily for probably 6 months +
ALL perfume set at Sephora Canada are not a good set. They dont do the voucher over here so it is never a good idea (even if you consider trying a bunch of things, you can get it for free at sephora by just asking to get a sample).
My sister's friend gave her a Charlotte Tilbury set with a mascara (I can't remember if it was full-sized or not), lipstick, lip liner, and eyeliner all in pillow talk. She kept the mascara and gave me everything else. Everything is small, which I don't mind. However, the lid for the lipstick WON'T. CLOSE. So now it's drier than it's supposed to be. I still use it, but I'm sure it's not the same quality as one where the lid stays closed. :/
I love these videos because it reminds us not to purchasing unnecessary stuff or stuff that maybe isn’t needed in our collection, lives, etc. I ended up purchasing the Ouia set with a mini scalp & body scrub, a full size body lotion, and a full size body wash, all in the St. Barts scent. I have never tried Ouia or smelled them before, but I was in the market for a new body wash and I looked at the amounts and prices, and it does appear to be accurate (for what they sell the mini scrub for, and the two full size items). It was $59 for an $84 value and I am definitely excited to give it a try! I thought it was a pretty good deal for the set in total. I also bought a hair and body mist set at Ulta for Kopari, that had all 4 of their new summer scents. I really love mini fragrances because I don’t go through them often (I work from home so I don’t leave the house a lot LOL) and I love hair and body mists because perfumes are too pungent for me, it causes headaches. I can’t wait for them both to come in!
I just saw Kosas has a trio of their new baked blushes and they’re mini for 30 bucks at Sephora so I bought those along with the Lanege sleeping mask minis in 5 scents for 21 dollars. Really good prices❤
I got a 60$ (CAD) Olaplex value set with full sizes of no 0 and no 3, plus mini sizes of shampoo and conditioner. Honestly the no 0 didn’t make a difference in my hair, and no 3 barely helps… Im always hopeful when it comes to hair products but I need to be more cynical
One thing I feel is often forgotten on this type of video is the cost added to have a mini size of whatever product. I am not saying they are not already added to the price, but often I see "oh a full size has 100ml and this is 10ml so divide the full size price by 10 and you have your number" not factoring other things. Mini size anything cost more to produce. Expecting to be very black and white is not appropriate imo.
Uh oh lol I got that perfume set! BUT only because I wanted to try some differant scents! And discovered I LOVE Tiger Lily by Victor @ Rolph! So that's the one I got
If you have a Sams Club nearby, their beauty section's worth a go! I've had luck finding (and stocking up!) on Tatcha products that were nicely discounted :)
Hi Kelly, thanks for the video! My vote is "Yes, Part 3, please." I'm not really inclined to buy any sets like this. However, I think the mascara set might be a sensible purchase for me. Like you, I'm careful about throwing away mascara within a few months after the first use. I go by the recommendation on the FDA website which is 2 to 4 months. So, I realized a few months ago that it makes sense for me to buy minis. Or, if I want a full size, to stick to drugstore products. In this case, since I could get a full size with the voucher, I think this set would make sense for me. 5 minis for $28 would last me for quite a long time because I only have 1 mascara open at a time. That is, unless I really hate them and end up tossing them after a few uses. I've only tossed a mascara after a few uses 1 time. It was the Maybelline Sky High mascara. It flaked more than I'm willing to tolerate, and it was extremely difficult to remove.
Watching this video made me realize I still never redeemed the free full size from one of those mascara sets I got like 2 years ago. Now I’m gonna spend the next 30 min tearing apart my whole apartment until I find it loll
I love the mini of the pillow talk! I got a big one and it broke almost instantly. And it feels lucky to me! Pretty heavy. I regret getting the big one cause I’m gonna be stuck with it for like 3 years. (Still haven’t finished the small one!$
Thank you, Kelly, for sharing this info. Glow Recipe set purchased and it was on sale! The toner and moisturizer were on my loves list so why not try them in smaller sizes first?! 🎉
Kelly, please check out the Mude Inspire Skinny Curling mascara if you want to try some other warm toned mascaras! I have the colors espresso (very warm toned brown!) and deep rose (muted light burgundy).
