After watching this, ESPN should be ashamed for saying that the #1 recruit came here because someone must've offered him money. When you look at the character of Deion and what he stands for, who he is, what he means to his players, and how much he really and truly cares for everyone on his team. THAT is why the #1 recruit came to Jackson State. It's a new era. College players are tired of being treated likely meaningless commodities. These guys would die for their coach, because they know their coach would die for them!

Shedur being able to lead the team with all the issues with Prime was impressive. Says a lot about his mental toughness.

When I see comments regarding his relationship with God... People have no idea! His worship is for real! I've watched him when his reality show was on OWN and I admired him then. I truly admire him now! The world has no idea what's about to happen at HBCU schools! And for his sons to stay composed...He taught them yell!

For someone of similar age as Deion. Who had undergone a very similar surgery for my big toe and second toe. It made me even more thankful as he said people have no idea what a person goes thru. We all have our own struggles and tribulations. We all have a story to tell and share of Gods greatness in our life.

I’ve been eagerly awaiting each week for the next episode. Dana Beers deserve some type of documentary award for “coach Prime” this episode was by far the best one. Prime I had a deep vein thrombosis procedure done at Jefferson hospital in Philadelphia pa on November 24,2021 due to me having Covid and they removed over 30 blood clots from my thighs and legs. I was in three different hospitals for the month of November and I felt like I went to hell and back and I’m a living testimony that the blood of Jesus reaches every mountain and down in every valley. Gods got us and it was good for us to be afflicted. He got something special for us. You been an inspiration to me since childhood. I was born and raised in Buckatunna Mississippi and with all that you are doing for Jackson state, city of Jackson and all hbcu’s thank you and god bless you brother!

There are several reasons why this 59 year-old, 6'4", 235lb., heterosexual, married, Christian, White man spent so much of this Episode crying as he watched. I could talk about the inconvenience that all of this has put Deion and his family in for years, I could talk about my own queasiness around injuries and surgeries, the serious implications and alternatives to the possible surgeries Deion was facing and the life altering effects on him and those around him, the fact that I had a hammer-toe on the same toe of the same foot and underwent successful surgery previously, and so on. I thought about each of those things, but what I really thought about, and what is bringing me to tears right now, is how much I love and respect Deion Sanders, and for how long it's been since I started. I couldn't care less about the Atlanta Falcons, hated the Atlanta Braves, and always cheered for the Dallas Cowboys, to lose. I don't care what jersey he had on. As an ex high-level football competitor, coach, and lifetime student of the game, Deion is the best I've ever seen at the DB position. Period. Exclamation Point! He would tell you how he was going to beat you, beat you, then explain to you how he beat you just so you could learn that there are several other ways he could still beat next time. Which he would be gracious enough to go over one-by-one after humiliating you with each one of them. He was a very, very, very bad man on a field full of bad men. Nothing will ever change the player you were, Deion. More importantly, nothing will ever change the man, the leader of men, you are. I love you, Brother. God bless.

Man this was such a powerful episode! It’s not very often that you get to see someone that you looked at as a superhero when you were a kid be so vulnerable. I’m so thankful he is still here with us to tell this story.

When I had my car accident, I know exactly how he feels to be in the hospital and those days feel like an eternity. Not knowing if I’m gonna be able to walk right. Having people help you. That was the hardest thing because I was used to getting things for myself. I know that feeling all too well. Well done Coach Prime, people don’t know which it go through and yet still be successful. I have greater respect for you, my brother and you were always one of my favorite players to watch.

Watching this in tears. To see Coach Prime call out to God in thankfulness did it for me. BUT GOD. God has destined Coach prime to be on the platform he is. I love that they are preparing the players for beyond the field. S/o to Ms. Tracey that never left his side.

This really hit home. 🙏🏽 I actually always feel uncomfortable saying that I once was in a wheelchair, shot in the spine while serving in the Army in combat. I’ll never forget when a doctor in a wheelchair said to me “95% of people with the injury that you have, have never walked again. I have no idea where the following words came from but I said “fuck you they ain’t me!” It was by far the hardest thing I had to overcome in my life but I fully recovered. It’s as if it never happened. Thanks Deion I grew up watching your entire career. 🙏🏽

Whew. Deion's faith got his through. God is so good! It was funny but not funny, when Coach Prime said, "you know how hard it is to put on some draws"?😂😂 I wasn't expecting that. Deon was a lot of fun to watch, both on the gridiron or baseball field. Just one of the best athletes of the 20th century. Now he is preparing these young men to handle their futures.

This man is an indelible part of my childhood. I grew up, and still live in, San Francisco, and I remember vividly the season he was here. I watched him as a Falcon and a Cowboy, with the Braves and the Reds. To watch him go through this is challenging, but inspirational as well. I follow you on IG and knew you had a serious health issue following your initial surgery but my God I had no idea it was near death and amputation. I’m still in shock to learn of that but I’m glad so fit to let you make it through. This world needs your work for our young men today.

Deion is a true warrior man. Glad that they caught it before it was even more life threatening.

I think it takes a lot of courage to put yourself out there like this, and coach Prime opening up about not only the struggles he went through in his career as a player but what he's been going through these last few years really showcases how hard you have to work to become someone like him. There's not a lot of luck or talent involved, not saying he wasn't blessed a bit by both but that's not the catalyst for his success. I think anyone that's willing to work this hard, and have a resolve this strong will always be successful regardless of what luck or talent you start out with, and I think that's the message young kids need to hear. That if you're willing to work hard enough, you can be the best, and that there is zero substitute for hard work at the highest level! Coach Prime might just end up being even more captivating than the player Prime!

The greatest thing we can all learn from Coach Prime is how to thank God in the face of adversity. A man of faith is a powerful thing in this world, and I would like to say thank you to Coach Prime for being another example of what a man who leads by faith should be.
